He’s still learning about Rudy…

Other than that, Ayo has been really good!
I think he's finding his way. He's a jack of all trades without excelling in any one thing so it's hard to nail down his core competency/role. I guess transition is a big strength, but otherwise....
Remember we were unsure of Donte as ANT’s backcourt mate? That’s worked out well, but only because ANT has assumed the lead guard role. You rarely see Donte bring the ball up. Ayo on the other hand has frequently brought the ball up. He’s more PG-ish than Donte.

Sort of. I'd argue Donte is a better passer once in the halfcourt. It's just that Donte gets more easily harassed when he brings the ball up, whereas Ayo can break the pressure more easily, which is point guard-y.

Being ok to good at a lot of things and being a do stuff guy is a great way to have a long NBA career
Yeah, I think he works with other specialists that DO excel at one or more things. The only reason Bones is still in the rotation is that he can create offense in the half court, something Ayo struggles to do.

Ant is such a homerun hitter (with yes, his fair share of strikeouts). Man, when he gets on a roll on both ends like this it is a sight to behold.

I really think that one day he's gonna get it- that the way he can really make his mark on the game is by playing his best defense for 48 minutes every game.

Yeah, they gave it all up focusing on ANT’s 40-piece…. :(

I'm with you guys in liking Ayo. But then there's this:

Wolves were +11 in the 20 minutes Ayo was on the bench, and -4 in the 28 minutes he was on the court. The mystery continues...

So a net on/off of -15!

He got burned by Ty Jerome a couple times, missed a fast break layup that he should have made, and made a dumb pass to Rudy that wasn't even close and led to a bucket going the other way. But he also did a lot of good things out there and obviously Finch trusts him.

I think he was slightly overrated by us fans in the excitement of him coming here from Chicago, but it is hard to get one's head wrapped around his chronically negative net rating and net on/off rating.

That's funny cause my exact thought in real time was, "looks like Ant isn't trying to let others cook and they can't generate anything"

First a sloppy possession leads to a TO by Dante, then a messy Drive by Randle into traffic. He drew a foul but it really slowed down the teams roll
