I've never really paid attention to him, but I remember when we used to play against him in Atlanta, Jim Pete always gushed about him being the perfect modern power forward.Monster wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 9:43 amMy take is Collins now is a classic good player depending on the price tag type guy. How much is that price tag? Idk but I can definitely be on board with being wary of giving him a multi-year deal for the full mid-level. At this point the Clippers probably have no clue what their team is gonna look like next year. It makes sense they aren't exactly prioritizing bringing Collins back although I just read a report that they are still considering bringing him back.TheGrey08 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2026 9:48 pmThat's fair. Definitely don't want to be overpaying for a risk.Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2026 9:20 pm Would have to be a sign-and-trade. Josh and Mo get the number up to around $17 million in the first year. That could be enough for Collins on a multi-year deal. I’d stay away from Collins. As many of you probably recall, I loved him coming out of college and his rookie season made me look pretty smart. But before long the Hawks were trying to unload him for several years and somewhere in that time frame he was suspended for failing a drug test. The Clippers are the third team he’s been on that doesn’t want to keep him. Too many red flags for a player with his talent.
And your starting PF for the 26-27 Minnesota TimberWolves is?

Anyone discuss Kenrich Williams yet? I'm not sure if OKC intends to guarantee his team option today, but he might be a good option if he can be had for the min.

That's where I am (mostly on feel) based on recent chatter, but have not been keeping up on his play. I just want it to be a stretch 4 who can shoot, rebound and put in defensive effort.Monster wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 9:43 amMy take is Collins now is a classic good player depending on the price tag type guy. It SURE would be nice for the Wolves to finally get the advantage of guys coming here on very team friendly deals like we've had to watch happen for many many years with other teams and their superstars attracting value contracts in an attempt to win.

How would be feel about Josh Green (14.6m) going to MIA and Bobby Portis being the starting PF?
Saw this idea on twatter, but not sure how I feel about it nor how realistic it is. Wolves would get the vet stretch 4, Heat get a younger wing. Portis has a ~15.6m PO next summer, which isn't terrible if he produces.

That would be a no brainer. It seems like the Heat and Giannis wanted him on the roster.TheGrey08 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 10:43 am How would be feel about Josh Green (14.6m) going to MIA and Bobby Portis being the starting PF?

Yeah, I thought the Green for Portis idea was the best one out there for the Wolves, but then I looked at Miami's roster. They desperately need to keep Portis...Monster wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 11:14 amThat would be a no brainer. On it! He's been brought up in the Wolves Forward Options thread. I think we'd have to pay more than the minimum for him and frankly he deserves more than the minimum. I think we'd have to pay close to the full taxpayer exception to get him. I'd rank Dean Wade and may be Jock Landale ahead of him, but they may not be affordable.rapsuperstar31 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 9:54 am Anyone discuss Kenrich Williams yet? We might be waiting a while. Plenty of guys are taking deals to stay and the ones who are testing the market are gonna make more than the vet minimum.
