That's my thinking too, but with a requirement that it has to be by the trade deadline. Not having someone come playoff time will be rough, but I wouldn't want them to jump on an overpay before the season either.
I agree with you both. I'd like to see them sign Nick Richards and then whichever of Trendon Watford or Jarace Walker can be signed on a non-guaranteed contract.
Assess and still be looking to upgrade by the deadline. Which comes much easier when Green can be aggregated, DDV's assessment is further along, and the recently signed players become tradeable. Am hung up on Smith being the target out in Chicago with Wilson and Buzelis needing all the minutes.

Agreed plus, at the trade deadline all the guys that were out of our price range this summer and signed mle or less deals, will all be gettable if the team that signed them is having a bad start to the season. John Collins, Rui, Landale etc would all be attainable with that Green contract maybe a little sweeter in Evans.
