Sorry - Those are the number of players ranked in top 200 and top 50 by position. The rankings provided via the insider link. It is just trying to show depth by position. It is not based on where people feel players will go. It does give you an idea of what the breakdown could be for first 4 or 5 rounds of the draft by position in the top 200.

Thanks I wasn't reading that right before I blame it on being Monday. I don't see how based on those numbers WR is a weak spot. 4 in the top 50 and 26 in the top 200. I'd guess it's another one of those "deep" drafts where you have a bunch of legit talents but whether or not they turn out is debateable.

Monster - You are probably right. Last year we had 3 guys go in top 10. This year we could have none go in top 20. Most of it might be based on it looking weaker overall class and last years top 10 guys doing nothing.

Did my first draft at fanspeak.com

30: R1P30 LB RASHAAN EVANS ALABAMA
http://www.nfl.com/draft/2018/profiles/rashaan-evans?id=2560073
All the top OT's are off the board and Evans fell to me. He is insurance for losing FA's moving forward. We could even look to trade Barr. (Considered LEIGHTON VANDER ESCH)

62: R2P30 C BILLY PRICE OHIO STATE
http://www.nfl.com/draft/2018/profiles/billy-price?id=2559911
I was surprised he was available. So I picked him because we need depth.

94: R3P30 OT CHUKWUMA OKORAFOR WESTERN MICHIGAN
http://www.nfl.com/draft/2018/profiles/chukwuma-okorafor?id=2559860
Great upside OT. We had good luck with Beavers so why not? Passed a DT - Rasheem Green

167: R5P30 CB HOLTON HILL TEXAS
http://www.nfl.com/draft/2018/profiles/holton-hill?id=2560109
Big 6'3" 200lb Corner that ran in the 4.4's. Off-field issues caused him to fall.

204: R6P30 WR EQUANIMEOUS ST. BROWN NOTRE DAME
http://www.nfl.com/draft/2018/profiles/equanimeous-st.%20brown?id=2560203
Suffered from horrible QB play to have a subpar 2017. 6'5" and ran 40 in 4.4. Caught 9 TD's in 2016 (4TD's in 2017)

213: R6P39 DL DEADRIN SENAT SOUTH FLORIDA
http://www.nfl.com/draft/2018/profiles/deadrin-senat?id=2559814
Tough DT for lince depth. Not much of a pass rusher, but has a good motor.

218: R6P44 WR RICHIE JAMES MIDDLE TENNESSEE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOBIcu0OrQU
Productive WR that caught 100+ passes in 2015 and 2016. Broke his collar bone in 2017.

225: R7P7 RB CHASE EDMONDS FORDHAM
http://www.nfl.com/draft/2018/profiles/chase-edmonds?id=2559967
Shifty back and productive, but has injury concerns.

Other thoughts on the draft. I think OL will go early leaving projects at 30. I would really look to trade down. Maybe Colts will want to move up for someone and offer up some of those picks from Jets.

This draft is likely gonna tell us who we lose next year due to Cousins massive deal. Diggs, Kendricks, Barr and Hunter in one offseason is gonna be rough with only 42 million. I think we need to get a LB or edge rusher so if the O-line become projects by 30 then get an OLB or another edge rusher.

I agree with you. I would love to see one slide to us that is projected to go higher.

Good article on positional strengths of the draft. It is broken up by top and depth.

One month to the Draft.

DAily Norse did a mock draft with Fanspeak Simulator. Link Below https://www.dailynorseman.com/2018/3/26/17165966/minnesota-vikings-mock-draft-chris-mock-draft-v2-0-nfl-draft

Gates ended up with:
30: R1P30 C JAMES DANIELS IOWA
62: R2P30 TE HAYDEN HURST SOUTH CAROLINA
94: R3P30 DL TIM SETTLE VIRGINIA TECH
167: R5P30 RB KALEN BALLAGE ARIZONA STATE
204: R6P30 CB TONY BROWN ALABAMA
213: R6P39 WR BRAXTON BERRIOS MIAMI (FLA.)
218: R6P44 LB GARRET DOOLEY WISCONSIN
225: R7P7 WR EQUANIMEOUS ST. BROWN NOTRE DAME

I used the same parameters and ended up with:
30: R1P30 C BILLY PRICE OHIO STATE
He was available when I was picking so I picked him. I would pencil him in as a starting LG.

62: R2P30 OT ORLANDO BROWN OKLAHOMA
He had a horrible combine, but he can play. I would have him battle for the RT with Remmers. Remmers could be cut in 2019.

94: R3P30 DL RASHEEM GREEN USC
Crazy productive Junior with 10 sacks. Room to grow to 3-Technique DT. Depth behind Hunter in 2018.

167: R5P30 TE TROY FUMAGALLI WISCONSIN
Jack of all trades TE. We really needed another TE and he was a great value in 5th.

204: R6P30 WR RICHIE JAMES MIDDLE TENNESSEE
Fast shifty WR that had over 100 catches in 2015 & 2016. Broke collarbone in 2017. Perfect slot WR.

213: R6P39 RB RYAN NALL OREGON STATE
Big fastback that ran 4.4 in 40 at over 230lbs. Gets a lot of his yards after contact. Can also catch passes. Good depth back.

218: R6P44 LB OREN BURKS VANDERBILT
3-down LB that can grow into a starter. Will play special teams in 2018.

225: R7P7 OT GEORGE SENAT WAGNER
LT prospect. Needs to add bulk, but performed great at the Senior Bowl and has long arms.
