Sano agrees to extension for 9 mil a year the next 3 years and club option of 14 million in year 4. With a 3mill buyout I believe on the 4th year if I'm reading it right. Awesome extension for the Twins he will most likely out perform this contract and also we don't have to commit to him past the age of 30.

Berrios will never sign extension here. They've been trying to lock him up for years.

Seems like a pretty good deal for the Twins. 41 million over 4 years if they do the club option is looking good. It's nice for Sanó to get something done with guaranteed money but I bet if he wanted to really get the most he could have played it out. But...you never know.

Berríos...dude is gonna get paid as long as he doesn't get hurt. He will make money in arbitration and then whatever contract he gets next. He has lots of leverage and other than just wanting guaranteed money he doesn't really HAVE to sign anything long term. I'd guess he is a bet on himself type of guy and his agents know he is gonna get paid one way or another so they are probably on the same page. It would be interesting to know what the Twins have been offering the past few off seasons.

Miguel Sano's extension with Minnesota, as @JonHeyman said, is for $30 million. There is $27 million spread over the first three years and $3 million on a fourth-year option, per a source. If the $14 million option is picked up, the deal maxes out at $41 million over four years.

I just saw this. That is good news and great to see the core players being signed.

Berrios is going to be interesting to watch. I think they tried to extend him last offseason. We have another wave of position players that should see MLB time in 2020 and 2021. It will be interesting to see what moves we make. Then there is Odorizzi. If he has a big year we might be looking at spending 200M+ to keep them.

Some interesting stuff especially when they start asking questions about the top prospects in terms of specific aspects.

That was a good read.

Royce Lewis and Alex Kirilloff got some respect. I am curious about Ryan Jeffers too.

When are we going to be an organization that starts turning out starting pitchers?

Did you see Graterol got some votes in the pitching section?

I did, but as a Twins fan, I thought he was an elite prospect rather than high potential. WE might overvalue some of our guys on the pitching side.

Brent Rooker is a guy that I don't think gets the press because of his age, but I think he could be a solid contributor this year.

We did it Donaldson baby.

Donaldson will earn $84MM over the first four years of the contract, tweets Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com. The option is valued at $16MM and comes with an $8MM buyout.

Time to trade Rosario and prospects for some pitching.
