How about a sign/trade for Dragan Bender? He's not the quite the shooter that Bjelica is but he's 10 years younger and apparently can be had.
Belly is restricted free agent though, the Wolves could match. I don't think the Suns want to overpay him either as they are still looking for a PG too. Adding Belly would also give them a glut of PF's.

My gut feeling is that Barton, who I'd also love, stays with Denver or leaves for a starting job. We have a lesser player that's 23 years old making max money, so, Barton wouldn't start here despite being better than Wiggins.
I think Evans is going to get PAID -- like, more than the full MLE type paid. Saw a stat that was something like Evans being one of five players to score 19/5/5 per game while shooting better than 40% from three. I wouldn't be surprised by a team thinking he's finally coming around on his potential at age 28 and paying him dearly for it.
Barton certainly bring hope for Wiggins developing mid-career scoring efficiency. He early career stats are insanely bad. I think you could easily guarantee Barton 30 mins a game should there not be any giant offers going his way. Plus even if Jimmy doesn't get injured we may want him resting for 20.

Seems like a possibility....He'd compete with our other rookies for that 4th wing spot (assuming we sign our first wing off the bench with the MLE). Glad we are turning over every stone looking for shooters.

Zero chance the Wolves sign Barton as a FA. We can't afford to pay him more than a number of other teams, including Denver. Moreover, he couldn't count on getting the amount of consistent playing time he'd like and could get elsewhere. He'd be a bench player behind Butler and Wiggins, playing for a head coach who can't be trusted to allocate significant playing time to his bench guys. The only reason he'd have to come here would be the fun of playing for Thibodeau. No way he'd want to play for the Wolves under the current circumstances.

I highly doubt Barton comes here either. One thing we do need to keep in mind though is that there are really 2.5 wing spots if you think about it. Sure, Gibson will start at PF. But I think with the way things are evolving, we will go with a lot of three wing lineups along with a PG and Center. That means there might be as many as 116-120 wing minutes per game. Assuming Wig and Butler each play around 37 minutes per game, that leaves another 40+ minutes per game needing to be filled.

There is certainly a case to be made to Barton to come here. I just don't see Thibodeau effectively making that case given Barton's alternatives.

Oh, how much I want to argue with Cam's premise that Barton is better than Wiggins, but I can't. By almost any measure, Barton>Wig...and that's a very sad statement.

This is the 2nd international shooter I have seen they have brought in for a workout the other guy is Ryan Broekhoff. They are certainly putting in the work to try and upgrade the roster.

He might be better, but the realgm fans don't seem to want Barton back, calling him frustrating when his shot isn't falling and terrible defensively. If Denver wants to keep him they are going to have to dump some expiring contracts because once Jokic signs for around 25 million, they will be north of 130 million in cap. I really don't think Barton or Evans for that matter are going to get paid as much as some people think. The money just isn't there this year for teams, and those that do have it like LA may sign them for a big 1 year deal if they swing and miss on free agents, but they aren't going to hurt 2019 cap for these type of players. Most decent players will get offered the MLE or less this off season.
