We're at that part of the season where the cream starts to rise and the early surprises start to fall. The Cavs put the upstart Sixers in their place as they won their 8th straight. The Blazers continued their recent winning ways and defeated the surprising Knicks. Of course, the Nets and Mavs lost as well to the Rockets and Spurs respectively. The Pistons and Pacers look like they're for real with wins tonight over the Celtics and Magic.
Tonight's games so far also illustrate the prowess of offense in today's NBA. 5 of the 6 winning teams so far tonight scored 113 points or more. And 4 of the 6 losing teams scored over 100 points. That's been pretty typical so far this season.

I've been watching this Kings GS game since early in the 3rd quarter. George Hill was terrific innthe 3rd and Frank Mason has been unbelievable. Bogdonavic has looked like a pretty solid player every time I have seen him and he seems to have a thing going with WCS who has been really good. Nice win for the Kings even if it was against a Warriors team playing without Durant and Curry.

I have to say I was flat out wrong about Andre Drummond. During the Rubio trade rumors his name was brought up, I didn't like him, mainly because he was a career 40 isn FT shooter which hurt his game and his team obviously. He looks like a stud this year though now that he has a consistent FT shot. Who would have ever made a bet that Drummond would be shooting a higher FT percentage then Wiggins? lol :(

Kris Dunn has been inconsistent this season, but had another big game tonight! 24pts/8ast/4reb/4stl

Thats not surprising considering that's the PG group Tyus had his stat stuffing game against. Dunn can look good on both ends going against those types of players. Also after a really strong start Markkanen has tailed off a bit espcially with his efficiency.

What's also interesting is how much SVG has him facilitating the offense from the high post. They are running a bunch of action off of him and he's averaging 3.5 assists per game, which is like three times more than anything he's done in the past.

Who would have predicted that Dunn would have a better 3-point percentage than Markkanen at this point of the season?

It's amazing how different players can look from one game to the next. Remember how Whiteside removed KAT from a game about a week ago? His "effort" seemed to wane just a bit yesterday when guarding Kevin Love. Good gawd. That looked embarrassing.

Heh.
I love Dunn. That was a bittersweet trade for me and if this current version of the Wolves crashes and burns eventually (along with Thibs), we may be kicking ourselves in hindsight for pulling the trigger.

Wow, horrible close outs. Whiteside is a bit of an enigma, no?
