You gotta love being a Wolves fan. While other teams add key free agents to their squads, the Wolves meanwhile may have to figure out how to add a key player they already have under contract. Only in "Wolves World" do bizarro things like this happen. What a shit show. Smh.

If your on the trade Love at all costs train, your essentially saying we should retain our role as the league's B**** because grown men can't get over what each other have said and play basketball. I'd rather not bend over for the benefit of the league like we did with Garnett. 10 years later and we still haven't made the playoffs. That seemed to work out well for us. Love's 25 and 12 should tell his teammates to step their game up or shut up because they aren't doing very much to help us win.

I don't think anyone is on the trade Love at all costs train. Flip seems to be handling this right at this point, biding his time until he gets the right offer. I can be patient, but I think waiting for the Cavs to deal Wiggins is futile. Not because they shouldn't, but because they won't.

What do you mean nobody's on the trade Love at all costs train? We have multiple people saying Love can't be on the team next year. That's the trade Love at all costs train.

So Love can't be on the team next year = Just give him away for pennies on the dollar? It's July, have a little patience and we will get a decent return.

I agree
He is not coming back, period. He believes (I believe) that he has been dissed by Khan, Taylor, and now Flip and Ricky. He was detached and uninterested, that was rumored last year. He's gone.

So the question - do we want picks (Boston deal) or nothing, and do what we can with the cap space. Q and Cam seem to think we have some form of leverage here. We don't have shit. This is make the best of a blown relationship. Value for value is not going to happen.

We have the best available player on the trade market or free agent market with multiple teams interested. That IS leverage. Don't let anyone tell you different.

Multiple posters on this board have said Love cannot, should not open the season on the roster, meaning Flip should trade him for whatever the best deal is during the off-season even if it's complete shit. That's the group he's commenting on.

And I'm saying that nobody is advocating trading him for complete shit.

During the Bucks - Suns game, Derrek Harper said Lebron will make sure the Cavs include Wiggins in order to get Love. Lebron basically has all the leverage.

Khans and cam- I'm probably the biggest outlier here in terms of what I would accept for Love, because I really think it's important that we proceed without him. But I don't advocate giving him up for shit. We may just be arguing about what constitutes "shit" and, similarly, what Love's perceived value is outside of Minnesota. I suggested that Ainge seems to be the guy who wants Love the most, and I didn't think he was likely to offer more than two players (say, Olynyk and Thornton) and 2 first rounders. I don't think that would be a terrible deal, and would allow us to move forward without the distraction of a discontented star.
