Cam, I've always preferred a Chicago deal that includes Gibson, Butler, and McDermott OR Mirotic (I highly doubt they would give us both). That yields two very good defenders on reasonable contracts and one offensive-oriented prospect to go along with our existing mix of solid vets and prospects. It doesn't abandon the future or the present. We have some eggs in each basket, and ultimately, most great teams are built with some mix of organically grown talent and acquired vets.
I honestly think the Bulls are set as they sit today. In fact, even if Cleveland acquires Love, I might still have to give the edge to Chicago. Adding Rose, Gasol, McDermott, and Mirotic to their existing roster of hard-nosed defenders gives them tremendous depth and versatility.
