He still makes a lot of good things happen on the court, but work load and age might be starting to get to him a bit.

Maybe.

The free throw shooting thing is weird. It's been 20% lower than other years... although he hit all three gifted freebies to send it to OT last night.

He's actually done better at facilitating this season... playing off Kevin Durant-lite (Paul George). Apparently that went out the window last night... Westbrook shot 7 - 30 fg.

Woe. I assume it was one of those games that just fuels his detractors... and probably with very good reason.

When I watched the OKC Wolves game the NBA players only crew said he just didn't look right. I wasn't sure I agreed with them at first but I tended to agree. They also said he adjusted his game and started just attacking enough to get shots for teammates. Westbrook is a so interesting for so many reasons.

A quick boxscore read shows that he (guarded by Nerlens Noel) was the difference.

With Stephen Adams in the game, OKC outscored LAL by +10... over 41+ minutes.
In only 12+ minutes of Noel in the game... OKC was -20.

Zubac was +35 for the game.

That makes sense. Wasn't this Noel's first game back from his concussion? He had to match up with a guy in Zubac who is basiclaly an old school brick wall big. Probably a tough cover for Noel physically anyway but it would be understandable if Noel was more hesitant to put his nose in there.

Another guy likely born too late. 10 years ago he would be looking at a big payday...well if he keeps getting better he is stilll gonna get a decent chunk of money because the salaries have contributed to go up but idk if he will be a starter. I've always liked him. Off wifely and rebounding he can play. Defensively idk and that can be a big problem now.

Zubac vs. Mozgov.

Mozgov got paid!

Ha.

Sixers lost a crazy game against OKC. Butler nearly won it for them with multiple clutch plays late, but in the end Paul George bested him with a 4-point play and then Jimmy missed the well defended last ditch shot.

Not that I'm complaining, but did someone put a gag order on Lavar Ball? Was it LeBron?

I'd guess that Lebron being there is a pretty big reason in one way or another. If that's the case Lebron to the Lakers was a great move I would have cheered more for it if I knew that would be the case. lol Also I hope Lonzo's ankle injury ain't too bad.

Jimmy out again tonight with a wrist injury. Hope this lasts for a few more.

Heh, that is funny how the LaVar silliness has fizzled out, thank God. I actually like the way Lonzo plays even though he has some holes in his game.
