I hope Dallas signs him to a big offer sheet too

I've seen Jamal Crawford mentioned a couple times here, and I don't understand the attraction. I've always thought of Crawford as a poor man's Kevin Martin...they both struggle mightily on defense, they both are among the best in the business in creating their own shots, and they both developed reputations as 3-point shooters. But Martin is 2years younger, and has been consistently the better 3-point shooter. Martin is a 38.5% career 3-point shooter, while Crawford is at about the league average at 35%. The last two years Crawford hit only 33% and 34% of his threes...in contrast, Martin never shot below 37% on threes in his three years here.

I think Martin is a free agent. If we truly need shooting (and based on our 3rd in the league 3-point ranking the last half of last year, I'm not completely convinced we do), why isn't Kevin Martin a better option than Jamal Crawford? Crawford is a much more creative player with the ball. More of a combo guard that Martin. I'm not sure if people would be talking about him so much of Wolfson wasn't such a Crawford homer. Lol

Edit: I'd be ok with Crawford I'm not making a significant argument for him.

Yeah, Crawford is a better assist guy than Martin, although I would call him only average. And with Ricky, Dunn and Tyus on the roster, I don't see the need for a combo guard. Thibs talks about shooting and defense, and I would argue Crawford is above average in neither.

I thought that might hit a nerve with a few here. I'm guessing Mrs. Van Buckle would never have been considered hot.

Has Barnes signed yet? He had such a bad finals, I'm curious if that will be in play.

Word is Mavs are offering him a 4 year max deal and the Warriors intend to match unless they get Durant.

I hear he'll be getting a 4 year max deal either from Dallas or Golden State. I'm happy seeing other teams blow their money.

Cole Aldrich has landed a three-year, $22 million deal with the Timberwolves, league sources say

Yes we got him!
