Why would Chicago give up McDermott? Acquiring Love would give them 3 PF's to soak up minutes which Thibs pretty much plays his best guys into the ground. I don't see the same leverage with Chicago because a no Love deal still leaves them Noah, Gibson, Gasol and Mirotic at the 4/5. Chicago is already a contender. Cleveland is not. There's a big difference in leverage. I think Butler is a bit overrated as he is pretty much Tony Allen with a little bit of 3 pt shooting, but he's not great. I don't see a Ricky/Butler backcourt being that effective offensively. He makes a lot more sense between Rose and McDermott/Snell. He doesn't next to Ricky. I'm a little biased because I think Wiggins will be a two way all-star and that to me is more valuable than 3 role players when it comes to building a team.

Khans, I don't know why Chicago would want to do a Love deal at this point. I happen to agree that they should stand pat. I'm just going off all the rumors out there and one of them was that they were back in the mix. Who knows if it has any credibility or not?

Ok maybe he is just looking at having cap space next year who can we get then?

Klay Thompson-See if the Warriors are willing to match a max to keep their guy they love so much
Also a bunch of other young SGs
Butler
Shumpert
Wes Matthews

And then Faried and Aldridge

Not a great FA class by any means

Guys wake up. The deal is not going to be with Chicago. Goodness gracious it should be obvious at this point.

I think the biggest value to Chicago to do a deal is simply keeping the Cavs from building their big three. The Bulls would be damn near a healthy Rose away from the finals on opening day.

Our power forward for this franchise's future isn't Bennett or Thompson or Mirotic. It's in the draft next year, assuming Flip doesn't pull off some 2013 Phoenix Suns crazy season. Montrezl Harrell or my Florida guy Chris Walker. Someone who's long and athletic. And Dieng is still a center in my eyes.

I view those teams as equals. Cleveland has the better star power, but Chicago's quality of depth is crazy this year. Granted Chicago's title hopes are on Rose, but their biggest obstacle has been offense and they added Gasol/Mirotic/McBuckets and Snell looks like he's improved as well. They didn't lose any defense either. That'll be a fun ECF series to watch.

I agree with Cam that Dieng is a center. He's not a PF. Although I'm not as down on Bennett as Cam is, I would not count on Bennett as our PF of the future. I want Tristan Thompson in any Wiggins deal because I think he's proven he is a very solid NBA PF, averaging 9.2 rebounds and 11 points per game last season. And he's still young enough to have more upside, especially as he finally gets the chance to play with a really good coach like Flip.

I agree Lip, I hope Tristan comes over in this deal.

Ricky will help TT and Bennett also, has there been one big when ricky has been here that has not been productive at all (Darko showed flashes when he wanted to) Ricky will make TT and Bennett at least solid NBA players, I like Bennett potential also.
