If we go 4-4 the rest of the way (not a difficult task with 5 more against Detroit), Texas or LA would have to go 8-1...that just isn't going to happen. I've blocked out Tuesday 10/3 for a playoff game in NYC!

Another good start from Gibby...if we can get by the Yankees, I feel comfortable with Gibby going against the Indians.

Yep it was a good night. Mauer struck out 3 times but no worries other guys stepped up. I was curious how Gibby would respond after I think it was the 2 HR or a walk he was not happy but he came back and did well. His demeanor is different he doesn't fall apart like he used to. Even when he was upset he seemed more fired up than losing his cool. His strikeouts are up. The playoffs help when you don't have a deep rotation. I feel like either Gibby or Colon would give us a chance.

Well the win last night got LST to make a playoff thread. I agree the Twins are pretty much locked in.

An amusing moment that happened while watching the condensed game was the Detroit feed had Joe Mauer hitting a 3 run homer...and had that up the whole time Granite was rounding the bases. Lol

I know Wilson was hurt before watching the game so I cringed multiple times through all that.

I know I've had my complaints about the bullpens but Dear God the Detroit bullpen might be the worst I've ever seen. I think I can go out there and have just as good of chance of getting through an inning.

So you are saying they should look to sign Giminez? Lol

Fun stat

"At 1st, Joe Mauer had 2 hits today, one with 2-strikes. He now has 78 hits this season with 2 strikes in the count, the most in MLB..."
