I will cut him some slack on his dismay sharing the court with Rubio, but if the Pat Bev extension made Dlo sulk I won't be sad to see him leave. Give me a damn break Russell smh.

Awesome. I have no memory of that happening and considering it would be a major blemish on the team I find that rather odd. Could you provide me a link to the story? I've searched for it on my own and found absolutely nothing. I would be interested in reading it. Thanks.

On multiple podcasts with Dane Moore and Britt Robson they have talked about the rumblings on the team being Dlo couldn't stand Ryan because of the role he had, and even mentioned that some team officials felt Dlo may have put out diminished effort once Pat Bev got his contract extension.

It was all casual talk on podcasts but there is definitely a questionable narrative around Dlo that those two are presenting as people who cover the team. I personally don't know where the truth lies. I think the main point remains that what the team will do pending the negotiations with Dlo's extension is the first major issue that Connelly has to address with the team.

Thanks Doper! I definitely heard that there was drama between DLO and Saunders and from what I heard DLO wasn't happy with his role and that he wanted to handle the ball more. Sorry, Cam I don't know which sources I read and/or heard this from but I believe it was early in the season and I don't have time to relisten to every Wolves podcast or revisit every NBA rumor site or reread every tweet or reread every Wolves blog or Wolves newspaper article, if I could even still find these sources again. The DLO and Ricky starting together experiment died soon thereafter. I definitely heard DLO wasn't happy with his role in Ryan's offense at the time Ricky was also starting and taking on the primary ballhandling duties. If Ryan and DLO had a fractured relationship which was something that had been suggested, I wonder if DLO pulling an end around on Ryan and complaining to Rosas led to this. Ricky later that year made a comment about "selfish play" and while he didn't name names, I did read some blog posts that suggested it was aimed at DLO. Ricky and Ryan are gone now, so I guess any drama there is in the past. But I can't help but think that Wolves management would factor in DLO's locker room behavior whether its good or bad, in deciding whether to keep him.

Thanks for the info. I don't think I was following the team as closely during some of this time in question.

I will say I looked back at who played and when and their minutes and the time where Russell was coming off the bench was literally weeks after Ryan was fired and Russell came off the bench for Finch. It's admittedly speculation on my part but I always wondered if the reason why Russell didn't like Ryan was...Ryan simply wasn't really that good of a coach. After Finch took over and Russell returned from injury (he was hurt for a number of games before Ryan was fired) Rubio only came off the bench 2 games. It's worth remembering that Rubio was the guy coming off the bench earlier in the season and started off really struggling. I'm not dismissing any of what has been brought in this posts I am just adding some info to what happened during the season in what was really kind of a forgettable season.

Still a few minutes left but wow is Jayson Tatum shook, Wiggins has him in his own head! Most turnovers in a single playoff run in NBA history, shooting only 25% in the fourth during the finals, now he is getting blocked, traveling, hasn't scored at all this half

Wow! I am so happy that the Warriors won it (they are my local team and my second favorite team)! Curry was so amazing and is right there with the best legends ever to play. Feel so happy for Wiggs! He's a frick'n beast and arguably the Warriors second best player now. The Warriors fan in me wants to give a big thanks to Rosas :)

Congratulations to the Warriors! Steph has cemented himself as an all time great with his 4th title.

Congrats to Wig! No doubt he was the 2nd best player on the this season's warriors championship team. He was the 2nd all star and 2nd best player in the regular season and playoffs. Outplayed Tatum all series.

Congrats to the Warriors. I found myself pulling for them even though I like the Celtics. I'm really happy for Steph. If you don't like Steph Curry, there's something wrong with you. I love that he has now won two rings without Durant. And how can you not love the Warriors. They play a beautiful brand of basketball - a true team that moves the ball around, plays hard and defends.

They are a great model for a franchise like the Wolves. They won four championship built around a core of three players the organization drafted. None of those three were drafted in the top five. Curry was selected at 7, Thompson at 11 and Green at 32. And they've shown patience with all three as they developed. People forget that Curry struggled with ankle issues his first couple years in the League and there was talk about whether the Warriors would keep him. Thompson had two major injuries - Achilles and ACL, but the Warriors stuck with him. It's a first-rate organization and they have now won four championships in the last eight seasons. That's impressive.

They also managed to sell the team before they went on their run.

Yeah, really impressive run by Golden State. I really thought Boston was the better team after downing Milwaukee and Miami, but clearly I was wrong.

Bottom line is that Curry is the greatest shooter to ever walk the planet and one of the all time greats. And he's worked hard to offset his defensive shortcomings. The team with the best player won.

I agree that Curry is the best shooter to ever walk the planet. But I want to draw attention to the rest of his game, which often gets lost in the shadow of his incredible perimeter shooting. He has a fantastic handle with great shiftiness and is elite at scoring on dribble penetration. He's also a tremendous passer. I'll always remember Bobby Knight's draft analysis of Steph Curry back in 2009. Bobby was using a using a telestrator to illustrate and evaluate Curry's passing. It was fascinating and revealing. At the end of his analysis, Bobby Knight declared that "Steph Curry is the best passer in college basketball." Those were his exact words and if you watched what Knight was illustrating with the telestrator, you couldn't help but agree.

I think back and wonder whether David Kahn saw the Bobby Knight evaluation. :). In any event, the Warriors ended up with one of college basketball's best shooters who also happened to be college basketball's best passer. It doesn't get much better than that. Since then, Curry has actually become a better shooter than he was in college -- a tribute to Curry's work ethic, but also a reminder as we approach the draft that shooting is the one skill that can improve a lot once a player gets to the NBA.
