Yeah I think you are right about Austin before JJ. Personally I don't see Melo helping the Clippers more than JJ. Who plays SG? Is Rivers good enough to fill that role? Will Melo play D? JJ is a FA after this year...and he is gonna make a ton of money as one of the best shooters in the game that also plays pretty good defense.

Austin Rivers...is he turning out to be an example of a guy that looked pretty terrible and then turned into something worthwhile? He turns 25 next August and he seems to have come around to being at least a nice versatile bench guard. I saw him play some the first couple of years and he looked really bad.

I'll just add that Doc isn't trading his kid to a team that he doesn't think is a good situation. Would you trade your kid to the Knicks? Porzingis is there I guess but I wouldn't say that it's a good place to go except he may be a starting guard there. They gave Rivers a nice payday and its looking smart right now based on his stats and what i have seen of him playing which admittedly isn't a whole lot.

I'd totally disagree with you, I personally think Doc will do whatever it takes to win, that includes trading his kid anywhere if it meant making his team better.

I'm sure his owner would step in if trading Rivers was holding up a Mello trade. Common sense.

I agree. It is business. I hope it happens. It would be interesting to see how ti worked out for them.

As far as being part of the trade. No thanks to Crawford. The Knicks have some pieces that would be of interest.

I agree the knicks have some nice pieces, it I doubt any of them are including, the aren't giving up mello and Hermangomez or Kuzminskas. There isn't enough other quality involved in this proposed trade for the Knicks to have to give up young assets.

Man, for all the heat Rubio gets here for his poor shooting, how the heck has OKC managed to survive with Roberson as a starting wing? He averages 6 points per game and can't even make a free throw. I get it....he's not tasked with running the offense like Rubio, but if anything, that means his guy can even pay LESS attention to him. I'd rather have a 6'0 opposing PG playing some free safety than a 6'7 small forward whose man never handles the ball.

Last year he was trending the right direction with his shooting. This year has been a clear step back. Its pretty obvious that him having to play SF with Durant hurts him offensively right? =)

With Roberson decline this year you have to wonder what he can do as a shooter, but its worth remembering he turned 25 in December. Its really crazy how young of a roster OKC has. Roberson was a PF in college and wasn't a scorer there either although he hit a decent percentage of 3's there. Maybe he isn't good enough to be a starter but I'll take that "do shit" dude on my team anyday. His career path reminds me a bit of Ariza except Ariza was much younger when he came into the league.
