Regarding backup pg, i wont mind if we keep jj. Flip might use him differently and let lavine handle the ball some if he play them together off the bench. Ive always like rubio+jj playing together.
There will also be decent pgs available for the minimum that could be solid 3rd string guys that can play backup pg's role as well. Tony douglas could be a decent get for the min. Guy can play d and shoot 3's. Not much of a distributor but if we are looking to play lavine and shved at pg then a guy like douglas to d up the opposing pg's and spread the floor might be a decent get for the min.

Am I nuts for thinking a Kevin Martin for Taj Gibson trade would work out well for both teams? Keep in mind the Bulls just signed Pau Gasol.
Bulls would take back less money ($1.2M per over next several years). Sign Mirotic to play backup. Rose-Martin-Butler-Gasol-Noah. Balanced.
Probably won't happen since Gibson is a fan favorite, annual 6MOY candidate. Just a thought, though. Martin would be a good fit in Chi-Town.

DJ Augustin signed for two years, $6M. This is a deal I would have loved for the Wolves. Sigh...

Wolves interested in turner per hoopshype. I like him and he is a good fit in flips offense. We have too many wings though and something's gotta give there.
A sign and trade with two wings to pacers for turner on a 2 yr contract(6-7m) will be something ill look into.
Keep in mind that we may have lots of wings, but we dont have a wing that can handle the ball and be a seconndary playmaker. We have rubio and jj. Lavine can play both guard spots and handle the ball but is a rookie. I dont have much hope for shved being a contributor. Then we are looking at martin, brewer, bud, bazz, robinson and mbam at the wings and none of them have good ball handling skills.
Shved+bud for turner
or
bud+bazz for tuner and a future pick.

Evan. Turner. Is. So. So. So. Bad.
This can't be real. He has ZERO place on this roster, and even less of a role if/when (I'm optimistic!) we land Wiggins.

"No seriously." RT @gwiss: Evan Turner getting "lots of interest, for real", Turner's agent tells ESPN.
I hope this means we don't get him. Some of these guys I really don't get. Salmons and Butler getting deals too. I'd easily take Richard Jefferson over either of those 2 guys and he got the vet min. Crazy.

Cam -- I like the deal and think it's balanced. It would make even more sense for us if we end up signing Turner. But like you, I don't see the Bulls doing the deal.

Personally, I'd much rather do a S/T with Indy for a different wing... You know, the walking triple double who's willing to do whatever it takes to try and win... Even blow air into the opponents ear and take shit for it for months.
Stephenson (4 year, $48M) for Martin and Budinger. Again, this works well for both teams, in my opinion. That is, if Indy is unwilling to bring Stephenson back at $12M per.

Stephenson is too risky. He's talented, but he's a head case. If you're a very solid team and organization like the Spurs, you can afford to take a risk on a guy like that, but the Wolves don't have the infrastructure of veteran leaders neede to rein him. Nor do we have any margin for error.
