Love/Dieng for Waiters/Wiggins/Bennett/Varejao

Rubio
Waiters
Wiggins
Bennett
Pek

Varejaro Martin Bazz Bud off the bench

So we give up the first and third best player in the deal? Wonder if they want Rubio and LaVine too. Yeesh.

Dieng isn't going anywhere.

Eh it might be the same thing with Cavs fans overrating their own players like the Wolves fans with Dieng. Dieng is already 24 and what he does is nothing that Verajaro could produce

Except Dieng's on his rookie contract and Varejao makes $9M, plus he's proven that he can't stay healthy.

I try not to overrate any Wolves player actually. Would you rather have Waiters/Bennett or Dieng?

I could have both Waiters and Bennett? Yea I would take those two. Asumming I had Pek and Turiaf as well though

Also Varejaro is an expiring, and might be able to be flipped at the deadline. Also he would be a backup in my trade so injury concerns isn't so much an issue at around 20-25 min

I meant Waiters OR Bennett since I called Dieng the third best player in the trade.

Expirings don't have as much value as a lot of people on here seem to believe. Would you rather have an expiring or a center who showed big time promise in his rookie year still on a cheap contract? It's not a tough decision for me.

What do you think Dieng's ceiling is?

Quality starter. Above average on both ends of the floor. Anchor of a decent defense. None of the things I'm saying are over the top.

So why would he be such an untouchable piece? I would say that would be Bennetts ceiling as well

Bennett's always going to be a liability on defense. That isn't going to change.

I think Cleveland keeps Varejao because he was Lebrons original teammate in cleveland & they are friends. not to mention he plays D and hustles (which they are going to need).

I'm starting to think that in order to make a deal happen with Cleveland we are going to need a 3rd team in the mix. Not exactly sure who at this point though. someone that would take one of the young prospects from Cleveland & give us a vet & maybe some value to cleveland.

Ideally I'd package K-Love & Turiaf going to cleveland, maybe (if we're lucky) send one of our wing contracts (Martin/Bud) to the 3rd team
