Would have been great to get Horford, but if not, it's better to avoid making big mistakes with these bit players.

No, Rudez is NOT a very good player.

Ironically, one of the Deng alternates on my list is another Clipper. Luc whatever-whatever!

Rudez can hit the three and actually played pretty decent defense for us. Plus, whatever, these guys don't matter in the long run. We're talking about signing guys that shouldn't get any minutes unless we're in injury trouble. The less we pay the better in my book.

I think we should aim higher. I'd rather spend even 6 million per on Acy.

Rush can shoot 3's and defend and Lee can rebound and pass the ball for a big and with Towns and Aldrich his liability on defense won't be felt as much. And they both won titles with the Warriors and could provide some first hand insight some little things the Warriors do on the court and in practice to be great.

That would be amazing

Like others, I absolutely love that Aldrich signing and assume we are out on Gasol. I have been an advocate for diene starting, and that seems to be the case now. It makes sense to see what he improves on/provides this season with big minutes before we have to consider resigning him.

Anyone have thoughts on any pf/sf or sg/sf flexible players available now after deng, lee, afflalo, and Dudley are gone? Tayshaun Prince may be a very cheap/good option for us right now, and we already know he's able to buy into what we are currently doing here.

Rush would be a good signing at that price. Lee I'm iffy on, but I can see Aldrich/Lee/Garnett as a group of bench bigs that compliment each other very well. I still would prefer to see a more agile, defensive minded sf/pf type though.

I really want Lance Thomas now.

Right now, I don't want to sign anybody more than 1 or 2 years unless it's for a steal of a price so their contract could become easily tradeable in the future. We've already got players for the future up and down the roster and we'll need to extend some of them soon. Anybody we sign should be and very likely will be sitting on the bench.

Rubio/Tyus
LaVine/Dunn
Wiggins/Bazz
Dieng/Bjelica/Payne
Towns/Aldrich

Edit: And I want to leave us as much cap space as possible for next year. Assuming we improve, we could potentially attract a top-tier free agent next year. That's way more important than having another year of some bench player. So I'm actually only on board for 1 year deals at this point!

I always liked Luc. If we signed prince and Luc I'd be happy with our offseason. Every signing/pick would provide defense and likely accept minimum minutes behind the pups.

I recommend checking out lance Thomas. Similar to Luc, but younger and is starting to move out to 3pt land.

Matt Barnes is another name I'd offer a 1 or 2 year deal to. Give our team some edge and stand up for the young guys.

I agree. I really only want to offer one year deals. We can actually overpay them this year in exchange for a team option as we have up to 20 Million left to go after two bench guys. I'm happy letting more guys sign and get some bargain players when fewer and fewer teams have money or rosterspace to sign guys.

As I understand it from this hoops hype page, we're at about 67 million assuming we've got Cole at about 7 million and assuming KG is in for 8 million.

http://hoopshype.com/salaries/minnesota_timberwolves/

We have to get to about 85 million to reach the minimum, according to this page.

http://www.nba.com/2016/news/07/02/nba-salary-cap-set/

Could we re-negotiate Pek's contract to make it a 1 year deal for 24 instead of 2 years? : ) Taylor really needs to buy that guy out next offseason.
