I have to say, and I never would have thought I'd be saying this after the first game, but besides Ricky who was the most impressive, I would have to say NB impressed me the 2nd most due to his stint in the 4th quarter. Making big plays on D, big rebounds, big 3. That's a great sign if you ask me.

Agreed on Belly being a very important player in the big run...won't show up much in the stat sheet but he did a lot of little things right.

Rubio just kicked some ass though, wow.

And with all that said, good night, gentlemen. What a night, right? Hopefully we clean up some of the ugliness and surprise the basketball world this year. Rubio for MVP. :thumb:

I like that Towns wanted that opportunity, wasn't scared of the moment. He's got it. 14 & 12 in his debut and he scored in a plethora of ways. 1-0.

Yeah there was at least one time late he should have got the ball. Damn it's hard not to get ridiculously excited about him.

Yep, and when the Lakers were trapping Rubio in the final minutes, Belly was the guy who bailed him out a couple times by making himself available. How great is it to have a guy on the floor who can both defend Randle and handle the ball on the press?

I like that Towns makes decisions with the ball. He doesn't hesitate or think too much. When he pump fakes he immediately drives to the basket to make a play. Too many young guys play tentative. He doesn't which is a really good sign to have that intangible this early. I wish Zach and Wiggins would play that way.

Now its on to Denver, who won by 20 tonight in Houston despite 11 TOs by Mudiay. How do you beat Houston with your PG turning the ball over so much? Rebounding and 13 for 27 on threes. The Wolves need to bring the same perimeter defense they brought in the 4th quarter. If not, it could be a long night.

I am going to defend wiggins. He was shit on offense but his defense on kobe was amazing down the stretch with kobe missing his last 7 shots

He plays with smarts and joy...looks like he's having fun out there.

You think he can mentor Wiggins?
