On the other end of the spectrum of the 2011 draft (Thomas was the 60th pick) the Heat are considering just flat out waiving Derrick Williams (2nd) so they can keep Okaro White.

He has to be one of the bargain contracts in the league if not the bargain contract of the league. What a story he is and it's amazing to me that he left the Kings and was signed for relatively cheap. A bunch of teams missed on him a few different times. I've always thought the dude could play but I didn't see this coming.

Two teams basically dumped him for very little...

- Sacramento
- Phoenix

There MIGHT be a correlation between where they are in the standings and their decision-making.

Yeah well...you wanna know something kinda crazy? The pick the Suns got for Thomas from the Celtic was the Cavs pick last year. The Suns traded that pick #28 in a package to move up to get #8 Chriss. So those teams are still linked to each other in a way because of Isaiah Thomas.

I always liked Tarik Black as a player for the bench.

Toronto making its move with Kevin Love on the sidelines for the next 6 weeks...

Ibaka for T. Ross and a 1st. So let's recap what Hennigan has done for the Magic...

Oladipo + Harris + Ibaka + Ilyasova + 11th pick ...... for ....... Terrence Ross + 25th pick***

[Note: As a bonus, the Magic picked up Biyombo and Jeff Green this offseason... and are paying them $32M this season.]

*** that's sorta what happened.

Larry Sanders worked out her according to Doogie. Podcast talks about Wolves at begining. Belly being shopped with some interest.

Westbrook with 17-18-17 last night in a win against the Lakers. What he is averaging this season in less than 35 mpg is pretty astounding.

This part of the season where teams buy out/waive dump whatever some legit or seemingly legit players leaves me conflicted to some extent. For some of the players I am happy for them they get a chance at a better spot but it also at times seems unfair the rich can easily get richer. I mean the Cavs may end up with a heck of a haul of players. Just adding Deron Williams would have been big enough. I guess someday we may be one of these lucky teams benefiting from teams dumping vet players. I still have hope Lance works out.

Interesting read of role players around the league.

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/18843801/zach-lowe-2017-luke-walton-all-stars-nba

4 Former Wolves make that list.

Beasley, Ellington, Mbah a Moute, and Anthony Tolliver

Maybe those guys didn't suck so bad, but just asked to do to much here.

All those guys have ability to one extent or another. I thought letting Luc go was the biggest mistake. He would have been a nice player to have around on this team for a number of reasons.
