Everyone's favorite insider, Darren Doogie Wolfson, is saying keep and eye on Kyle Anderson on the buy out maket.
I think in the idea of Utah keeping their pick, having a buyout for a guy like Kyle makes sense. He probably makes too much to be traded unless Utah takes on a big salary.
Trade season
Re: Trade season
Sigh. Perhaps I need to learn my lesson. Whenever 60Win starts pining for a guy - Bones going back a season or two and now Kyle Anderson - I should just accept that he's done a Vulcan mind meld with Tim Connelly and it will inevitably happen.Phenom wrote: ↑Wed Jan 14, 2026 6:30 am Everyone's favorite insider, Darren Doogie Wolfson, is saying keep and eye on Kyle Anderson on the buy out maket.

Re: Trade season
As of today, which Bulls guard are you hoping for?
Coby White in exchange for Mike, Rob and TJ/Lenny
Ayo Dosunmu for Rob and TJ/Lenny
Tre Jones for Rob and TJ/Lenny
Which one fits best with potential role/minutes, offense, defense?

Tre Jones.
And hopefully keep Shannon. I think the chance of Conley being moved is extremely low.

Coby White, and he should start over DDV.
Re: Trade season
Tough choice...none of them do much for me. Coby is out because the Bulls want draft picks and I don't like his assist to turnover ratio. I say no on Ayo, because he's not really a PG. So I guess Tre is the best option, but I wouldn't trade Rob + another player for him.
Re: Trade season
I’m with you, FNG. Coby would be a terrible acquisition for us. He’s the antithesis of a glue guy/facilitator, which is exactly what TC said the Wolves are interested in. That focus, which I consider appropriate, rules out Coby and probably rules out Ayo. Tre Jones would fit the bill but I wouldn’t trade Rob or Shannon (much less both of them) for him. If the Bulls would take Conley and Miller in exchange for Tre (I think the salaries work), I’d do that deal if I were TC. But I don’t think TC will trade Conley and I question whether the Bulls would be interested.FNG wrote: ↑Wed Jan 14, 2026 1:20 pmTough choice...none of them do much for me. We’re in 4th place and only a half game out of second. We have the 3rd best point differential in the Western Conference. I believe we have the 2nd best record in the NBA since Thanksgiving. We’ve beaten OKC and the Spurs on our home court. We destroyed the Bucks on their court without Ant or Rudy and we’ve won multiple games without both Ant and Mike Conley. Bones has been playing extremely well. Clark is playing well and will undoubtedly get better. Once Shannon gets past his foot issue, I see no reason why he can’t be the player we saw late last season and in the playoffs. Rob will undoubtedly improve.
If it were up to me, I’d focus on grabbing Slo Mo if/when he’s released, which seems increasingly likely, or some other solid connective tissue guy.

Re: Trade season
You know that Donte DiVincenzo is a pretty good glue guy…maybe just stop pining for a trade and realize the cake has baked. If we can get something for Dilly that helps then sure. If we need to include Lenny or TJ then I wish them well in a new place where they might get more time. Maybe we got extremely lucky with health and availability so far and Joan has been allowed to come along at a protected pace and he can be an energy defensive/rim crashing offense Rudy sub we have been hoping/needing desperately. For sure add SloMo if he’s out there after the buyouts. But please do not mess with team chemistry. Every year it takes 20-40 games for team chemistry to work itself out. Looks like it’s a fantastic vibe right now and an honest group that knows what it needs to do and what it is. I fear that trading Mike or Donte or anyone who isn’t Dilly is gonna crash the vibe at the point it looks gelled.

Rob and Lenny for Jones would be a heist imo. Don't know where he fits in tho with Bones pretty much having cemented his role in the rotation and Mike on the team as well
