I find it surprising that so many twolf fans have okogie as an untouchable.

I also agree with this. He's looked like a first year player picked in the 20s. Potential to be a rotation player but untouchable is way too extreme.

We won't give up kat and nothing else has any value to the pels.
I'm quite positive that you don't include a negative asset when trading for an All-Star player.
I'd start with Teague, Bates-Diop, and a protected first-round pick.
Im sure pelicans would want okogie instead of Bates-Diop. I would do that regardless. Holiday is a stud.

Id like to see this organization try and make an All Star out of a 20 something pick. I think he has the tangibles to get there.

He's far from untouchable, however, he's far from the top of the chopping block when it comes to pieces I'd prefer to move, if that makes sense. That does not mean that I wouldn't be willing to deal him, though.
In order of what I view as the most valuable long-term pieces for the Wolves:
Towns
Saric
Covington
2019 first-round pick (expected to be in the 10-20 range)
Okogie
Bates-Diop
Jones
Wiggins
Dieng
Veterans such as Gibson, Teague, Rose, and the rest of the roster are short-term pieces that should be viewed as such. Alternatively, they probably should be moved in the near future in attempts to get more long-term pieces.

Okogie, with his youth, athleticism, wingspan, competitive drive and basketball IQ, is the only guy on this roster who could potentially develop into a second star to complement KAT. That's why I consider him almost untouchable.
Would I be willing to trade Okogie? Yes, but only as part of a package to acquire a young star to pair with KAT. But there's no realistic scenario in which that could happen.

I agree with you. Now I think Okogie is overrated on this board but I think we need to develop young guys and trading him for a better player now but has a 0% of a star out of them dosen't do anything for us.
Let him develop and hopefully he takes off. If he doesn't his skill sets that he has will have the same value in 2 years if he didn't improve

Just looked up Jrue's stats and the guy is averaging 21-8 and is known to be a top level defender at either guard position. The Pels are gonna have a high asking price I would bet. Honestly they would have to like Wiggins and or Okogie or Tyus a lot for them to do a deal with us. There are no guarantees about them valuing any of those pieces highly. Assuming Jrue's injury problems are behind him yes he would be a stud to add to this team.

Well, guess who hit the go ahead shot in the final 30 seconds for Denver in their epic comeback? Nikola Jokic with a low post hook shot. Who says we can't use KAT in crunch time? It's a coaching choice when teams use a perimeter guy instead of a post to set up crunch time offenses.
On the perimeter, the guy that came up big for them was the legendary Malik Beasley. Amazing how teams like Denver can keep uncovering wings that can shoot year after year, yet we have like three total in franchise history.
