Obviously this means next to nothing, so don't shoot the messenger. But it is indicative of how the guys have done in the SL. Check out the latest rookie ladder. Wiggins not even in the top 10:

Think he does it if he's not sold on the idea of Cleveland winning a championship next year, or at least having a team capable of doing so? This has 'trade for Love' all over it, but in the form of a precursor. Would these vets sign in Cleveland with the idea that four unproven young guys were going to help carry them to the Finals? Come on now.

I agree, Cam. It sure seems to be headed that way. And Wiggins isn't exactly dominating Summer League. Looks like he has a long way to go. Not a good fit for a team with LeBron that is nearly positioned to contend for a title right away. On the other hand, Wiggins would fit well with a young re-tooling team build around Zach LaVine and Ricky Rubio along with the other young talent we'd get in a Cleveland deal.

1.7 steals and 1.7 blocks per game for Wiggins are maybe the stats that matter at this point. Alot of people said he would be able to defend right away those stats are an indication of that type of potential.

Steals and assists get Ricky by after three years. I would assume then that people should be mildy impressed by those numbers.:)

Don't shoot the messenger, but some guy on Twitter who's actually been right on several occasions this week is "reporting" some news on the Kevin Love front. If he hadn't have called other signings previous to this happening, I wouldn't even give it a serious thought. Anyways, here are some of his tweets from last night.

T-Spence @tspence26

"Here is what I know. A possible 3 team trade is being discussed right now, Minnesota, LA Lakers and Boston."

"Trade would result in Rondo to Lakers, Randle and Kelly O to Minnesota, and Kendall Marshall and Kevin Love to Boston."

"Celtics/Lakers/Twolves could complete this 3 team trade involving Randle, Love, Rondo as soon as tomorrow. Time is ticking for Cleveland"

"Randle/Rondo/Love are the main pieces in that LA/Minn/Boston trade, picks likely involved just not sure what ones and to who. Stay tuned"

"Lakers/Twolves/Celtics trade featuring Rondo/Love/Randle has an 85 percent chance of happening by tomorrow. Kelly O will also be involved"

"All I know is if Cleveland really wants Love they have to move NOW. Does confirm my reports that Rondo/Love would be traded by weekend"

"The Warriors/TWolves trades were smokescreens, this Lakers/TWolves/Celtics rumor I'm being told is absolutely realistic and probably at 85%"

"If trade is agreed upon, nothing official can happen for 30 days as Julius Randle has signed his contract. But, they can agree upon it."

"Either way, no matter what way it goes down, K-Love to Cleveland or Boston, it will of been exactly what I've been reporting all week."

"Proposed 3 way trade between LAL/Boston/TWolves Minnesota would also get 3 1st round picks, Lakers are holding out for a Celtics future 1st"

"Lakers are also reportedly holding out and wanting Kevin Martin. Not sure how the contracts could work at this point. Cavs better move fast"

So, assuming Minnesota would receive Randle, Olynyk, and three 1st round picks, it's not that bad of a deal. I think Randle's a legitimate stud.

Problem I have with this "rumor": why would Boston give up Rondo when they need him to keep Love in Boston? You'd think they'd use Smart + pieces to get Randle and go from there.

Anyways, just letting the board know what could(?) be in the works. Far from a legit source, but I know we're all looking for answers right now.

The problem I have with Love to Boston is they have a fun promising young roster but I do believe Love wants to win. Is there really enough there to convince Love to stay or is Ainge taking a chance?

I like Randle and the limited highlights from SL looked fantastic. If I was trading for a young PF to replace Love I would love to add him. We will see what happens I don't think this is enough to get Flip to pull the trigger.

Could we end up with Randle and Smart? I really don't see why Lakers would want Rondo. I think they would be better off with Pek.

Pek to Lakers for Randle
Love to Celtics for Smart
Rubio to Bulls for McDermott

Then we would be rebuilt young and ready to grow as a team.

Lakers would want Rondo to draw in more free agents. His brand is 1,000 times larger than Pekovic's, plus Rondo's a warrior in the playoffs. That side of things doesn't surprise me. I think LA would give up Randle for Rondo.

Highly doubt Rubio is traded, especially to the Bulls when they have Rose.
