Can't add much to Kek's summary...he hit all the salient points. DLo, SloMo and KAT were terrific, and you can't say enough about Garland. A very enjoyable game to watch. If only we could get this Dlo every night, or frankly, even 1/3 of the time. But...

Combined with the Vikings win in perhaps the greatest football game I have ever seen, this was a very good day for Minnesota sports.

Not to be a downer, but the Iowa Wolves lost. That ruined everything!

Just watched the replay. Towns is such a baffling player. His scouting report coming into the league was a great defensive talent with offensive upside. He is almost and entirely one way offensive player at this point. I don't understand his D at all. Im glad we got the win but I will continued to be baffled by Towns as long as he is on this team.

Two huge game winning blocks by Gobert in the last 3 minutes of the 4th. Another reason why + - doesn't draw a straight line to winning D. The guy is incredible.

Clutch dunk by Ant at the end of the game in winning time to push it to 10. I believe we have enough heart on this team to turn it around. That was a gutsy win with Garland getting red hot.

Yeah, it's really tough to draw up a defense that works really well when you have DLO and KAT together on the floor. The high wall scheme with Vando, PBev, and McDaniels scrambling around to close out on guys and wreak havoc is as close as we got to something workable, but that can become predictable in the playoffs if that's all you can play.

It's just going to be really hard to win a lot of games this year unless the offense is totally clicking. On paper, it makes no sense that we have been this bad. Hopefully it comes around.

Yeah the offense has to come around. I've been really disappointed with Nowell. Those first handful of games we were talking about how sad it was that he wasn't talking about an extension with us, now he looks lost. I hope he finds a way back. If he can't we really need a scorer on the 2nd unit.

Multiple guys haven't stepped up. It's a combination of some guys just being cold and in other cases it's selfish play and not moving the ball around to generate higher percentage looks. But yeah, I was expecting big things from Nowell and he's disappointed. You can't be as bad as him on defense and not be really good on offense. Remember how Beasley was just KILLING us last year early with all the missed shots? Same thing happening this year with Nowell and DLO.

The good news is usually legit shot makers do come around eventually. Last season we had multiple guys get off to a cold shooting start and then - boom! - for a stretch of 30 or so games in the 2nd half of the season everyone was hot at the same time. One can hope...

Forgot about Wade being out. So three of their best four or five players weren't playing and they still almost came back and won the game after being down by over 20 points in the 3rd. I don't think you are raining on last night's parade. You're just point out the rain that was there and that many have ignored. Yes, there were some good signs in the Cleveland game, but nothing to get excited about as a Wolves fan in my view. Last night's game could be seen as fool's gold. I think this team is still broken and nothing in the Cleveland game indicates otherwise. I still expect the Wolves to beat the far less talented Orlando team and that will be good. But I still don't see this Wolves team finishing in the top 5 and right now I see them in the play-in tournament at best. Once again, as Kevin McHale used to say, it's not the five best players; it's the five players who play best together.
