AP Source: The Timberwolves are not bringing KG back for just this year. They want to do a 2-year extension with him.

Holy crap that would be insane at any amount

Not at the vet min. It would be great.

Now I'm just baffled. Are we going to start moving some of our young guys now to try and compete next year? What the hell are we doing?

Just can't believe that this is the only deal we did today. It's pure comedy.

Flip is investing in mentorship. He is going to draft another big likely and wants KG to be what McHale was for him. A skilled big with an array of moves that will pass that on. I understand your aversion to KGs antics. But if he took that teaching role seriously, it will be an asset.

KG can't play more then 20 minutes at this point. He's going to be lucky if he can wake up pain free in 2 years.

10-15 minutes plus practice time with towns or okafor is all we need.

mentorship isn't worth any amount of cap space and a roster spot.

Man, I don't think the Wolves' fans hated him. He wasn't beloved as much as he was in Philly, but Thad's a tough guy to hate. Even on this board he wasn't hated...some posters pointed out his defensive and board deficiencies, but nobody seemed to dislike the guy.

Yeah. it looks like the Wolves weren't willing to play the competitive dollars game with Thad, and probably didn't want him long-term anyway, and preferred to see if they could convince KG to give them 15-20 minutes at a much reduced salary. Let's see how it works out.

The Wolves have 10 wins, you need a hell of a lot more

I must've been confused by all the people who put his every move under a microscope. I am a Thad supporter but could see he wasn't a great fit here.
