Flip is investing in mentorship. He is going to draft another big likely and wants KG to be what McHale was for him. A skilled big with an array of moves that will pass that on. I understand your aversion to KGs antics. But if he took that teaching role seriously, it will be an asset.

mentorship isn't worth any amount of cap space and a roster spot.

Man, I don't think the Wolves' fans hated him. He wasn't beloved as much as he was in Philly, but Thad's a tough guy to hate. Even on this board he wasn't hated...some posters pointed out his defensive and board deficiencies, but nobody seemed to dislike the guy.
Yeah. it looks like the Wolves weren't willing to play the competitive dollars game with Thad, and probably didn't want him long-term anyway, and preferred to see if they could convince KG to give them 15-20 minutes at a much reduced salary. Let's see how it works out.

I must've been confused by all the people who put his every move under a microscope. I am a Thad supporter but could see he wasn't a great fit here.
