Thoughts about imminent return of Beas and DLO

That's right Camden.

Shooting trumps every skill Ricky brings at this point. IMO
I'm not well-versed on Phoenix's roster, Pork, but is the PG they brought in to replace Ricky any good?

The willingness of Utah and Phoenix to move on from Ricky so quickly speaks volumes. Nice little player, doesn't move the needle.

This is his seventh season in Minnesota and they are 183-335 (.353) in those seasons and counting. Maybe he's just not the straw that stirs a winning drink. Frankly, I'd like this franchise to distance itself from the losers of its past and try anything different. Give me a team full of shooters. Give me a team full of rangy, explosive athletes. Give me a team that defends like crazy but struggles to score. Anything besides what we've seen from the past. And that includes Rubio.
Rubio without a doubt in my mind cost this team wins in the first half of the year. He was giving the team 4 points on terrible shooting, 4 turnovers and 1 assist night in and out. (ok not exact stats but in the ballpark)
You lose multiple games by 3-4 points and yes it's arguable that Rubio's terrible play resulted in more losses.
I'm sure we are all fine trading him for a pick and player if that is possible. Wether that pick is decent or player is younger with potential to be a player either is fine with me. Rubio is not a long term answer and his mediocre play and leadership are not enough for me to consider the future.

Let's see if I'm following along here. So the willingness of a team to move on from a player speaks volumes, right? I'm not saying I disagree with this position, but then what does it say about our $30 million man?
Rubio: 3 teams in 10 seasons
DLO: 4 teams in 6 seasons
I think you also have to take into account what teammates say about you after you're gone. Devin Booker notably praised Ricky to the skies and credited him for taking his game to the next level. I'm not aware of any comments like this about DLO from his teammates the three times he has been jettisoned. What fans say has some meaning, but what your teammates say about you is much more meaningful.
Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you got 'til it's gone.

DLO has A LOT to prove. His only saving grace right now is he is relatively young and could potentially however unlikely be a nice player. Rubio's ship has sailed as far as his age and career. He's got nada upside.

Apparently, wolvesfan's ballpark is 1,038 feet down the foul lines.
This is not an endorsement of Rubio... only pointing out the shadiness of the post.
Re: Thoughts about imminent return of Beas and DLO
It's not just what former teammates say about Ricky. Current teammates rave about him also regardless of what team he is on. We've talked about what Ant has said about Ricky as a leader and a facilitator and how he has helped his development. Let's also take a look at how DLO celebrated the deal that brought Ricky here (Maybe I missed it, but I'm not sure I heard him say the same type of glowing comments about the Juancho signing ;-) )
"Russell believes the Spanish PG can accelerate the development of no only he (sic) and Towns, but the rest of Minnesota's talent-laden roster".
"He's going to make the game easier".
"I've never played with nobody (sic) at his caliber"
I'm not sure I could have said it any better, and although DLO hasn't had the opportunity to play with the Rubio we have seen the past 20 games, it's clear that DLO was right...Ricky is making KAT, McDaniels, Vando, Nowell, etc. better. It doesn't look like a Collins deal is going to happen before the deadline, so we are likely to still have both DLO and Ricky on the roster. If so, I hope Finch agrees with what DLO said above, and plays them together after DLO is ready...Russell knows Ricky can do for him what he did for Donovan and Booker. We get the added benefit of Beasley providing scoring punch off the bench if DLO starts at the 2. If Finch goes this way, I change my vote and join the others who voted that the return of our two scorers make us better. But if DLO and Beasley come back as the primary backcourt, and especially if Rubio gets traded without a returning player who can provide a comparable positive impact, I don't think things will turn out well.
I hope I'm wrong though.

If you are going to debate my stats then do it by actually calculating them. Because I remember he was avg about 6 points a game and was joking how we could replace them and his turnovers.
So yes, my stats were in the ballpark unless you can prove otherwise.
Rubio was also turning the ball over more then any PG in the league based on per minute played, only one player was worse and it was McConnell!!!
So garbage points on terrible shooting and almost turning the ball over more then any other. I was being KIND in my first post!
We'd have 5-6 more wins if he was merely avg!!!!!

Lol what a weird response. How's that post "shady"? (Note - Rhetorical/not interested in your weird response)
