You think they were targeting Prince as the solution to our PF hole?? I sure as hell hope not. We have existing guys on the roster that are just as mediocre. This was a salary cap move from what I can tell.

No I think they were targeting him as the back up power foward or 9th/10th man depending on the night. I dont understand how you are reading my post but yes this is about saving money with a bench player. I think this signals Vando and Juancho arent huge priorities and I suspect Rosas will continue to work to figure out the starting 4.

How can you not get excited about Taurean Prince after reading this ringing endorsement.

Do you think our village idiot thought he was trading for Tayshaun Prince?

Gotcha. I read your post too fast and didn't discern that you had him pegged as the main backup to starting PF TBD.

Still, I'd personally prefer Vando over Prince as our main backup 4.

Yeah on some nights I think you'd be right. I do think he's an upgrade to Juancho which is why Im thinking Juancho is as good as gone. I suspect signing Vando is not priority #1 for Rosas at this point. He's likely going a available for a while and if some other team grabs him, good for Vando.

I, too, would prefer Vanderbilt over Prince - and it's not even close in my view!

It's the most logical explanation I can come up with...can't wait to see how Rosas tries to spin this one.

That's another thing Rosas is bad at - spin. He'll spew a string of empty platitudes, believing he's sounding smart and professional. But nothing he says can change or explain trading for an undersized PF who doesn't defend, doesn't rebound, and doesn't shoot efficiently.

Here's another explanation. Maybe Rosas confused Taurean Prince with Larry Nance Jr. If you're looking at the Cavs' roster alphabetically, you'll see that there are only two names between Nance and Prince. So maybe Gersson got confused.
