Yeah, the team doesn't have much without him unfortunately. He's been very solid and continues to shoot the 3-ball well. With McLaughlin's resurgence, I think Wright may be in line for another 2-way next season. I had thought he may have a shot at overtaking that #3 PG slot, but Jordan has had something to say about that.
Edit: I see he put up a triple double in today's win! Not bad. The thing I like about him is that he's a fighter and very scrappy. We need as many bulldogs as possible around KAT and DLO since those guys aren't very physical or known for their defense. Ant has been impressing me of late with his defense. Good stuff all the way around.

Q do you know what happened with Brian Bowen? I had noticed he played less minutes then was out of the rotation but I saw that they actually waived him. I'm not upset about it because other guys have seemed to play well Frazier Jr actually got signed to a 2-way deal with OKC but I am just curious what the deal was.

I really don't know Monster. I stopped paying attention to Iowa once PBev re-signed for another year and McLaughlin took firm hold of that 3rd string PG spot. It feels like we are good to go for next season in that position with the existing guys, so I sort of stopped tracking McKinley Wright, who I thought could may be displace McLaughlin.

That makes sense. I think Wright is likely locked into that 2-way contract for next year. He played well and it makes sense to have a good Lead guard like him for your G-league team. Plus Beverly is signed for another year but at this point both he and Russell are only signed for next season. Maybe things have changed with Rosas gone but the Wolves seems to value guys that do what wright does.
I'll say this about the Timberwolves and Iowa Wolves in general. It seems they have done a good job of adding talent and even developing it at that level. There have been a number of guys that have ended up with NBA contracts or getting a 2-way deal with another franchise. Not everyone has stuck in the league and it would be interesting to compare their track record with other NBA franchises g-league teams but the Wolves clearly aren't lagging behind. Their record was ok considering they weren't playing guys that were basically from the low ends of the NBA roster. Their offense was the problem not their D which is another welcome change right?
It will be interesting to see the Wolves summer league team in a few months. It could have some nice talent with Wright, Balmaro maybe Knight and a couple rookies. I don't think we are going to see Nowell or McDaniels there...or at least not playing in the games.

Correct Monster, I don't see Nowell or McDaniels back at summer league and I think they might move on from Knight. So I think it will be Wright, Bolmaro, and the two rookies we draft.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Knight. They could fill that 2 way spot and Knight would still might not have a landing spot as free agency wouldn't start till after the summer league so he could still play for the Wolves. He will likely want to show off his game in the summer league and heck maybe he really impresses and the Wolves or another team sign him to a regular NBA deal. I like Knight but he just hasn't done enough (partly due to lake of opportunity including not playing much in the g-league) for me to believe in him and pound the table for him to stay.
It's possible that the Wolves draft 3 players...or even 4. One of those players might be a 2nd rounder that's willing to sign a 2 way deal. Obviously one player they draft in the 2nd round (Espcially if they keep all their picks which I don't think will happen) could be an international player. Let's just hope that Rosas wasn't the only smart guy when it comes to looking at these end of the roster type talents.
