These are the kinds of returns from potential suitors I'd have in mind if the Wolves were to consider trading Towns. You could conceivably add teams like New York, Portland, Toronto, and Washington to the list as those who would have interest, but they're either lacking the attractive assets or aren't close enough to contention to pull the trigger on the deal they'd need to offer.

Sign me up for Celtics Trade. The best part is I think they would suck in next 3 years even with KAT so those draft pick is going to be pretty good. I don't see how a Tatum Towns mix would work out well.

Towns being able to play 2nd fiddle to a budding superstar (even one who's kinda sucky right now)... for a generally well-run or at least "serious" organization?

I can see why they believe they can figure out a way to make it work.

I just don't see how the Wolves get that large of a haul back. Brown doesn't have the create-for-others chops. But damn, he's good. He just keeps improving. I didn't think he'd become THIS good of a shooter.

Robert Williams has been a plus player on both ends.
Brown is now a perennial All Star.

AND (2) 1st round picks?

I don't think Celtics offer all that. I'm thinking they'd offer Jaylen Brown but not a whole lot more. Maybe Jaylen and one pick and middling talent like Nesmith. I could see the Celtics wanting to pair Towns with Williams as rim protector. I prefer to get someone younger than Jaylen Brown and that is the appeal of an Ayton centric package. I think Golden State could offer a plethora of young talent (Wiseman, Kuminga, Moody) plus picks but the Warriors would have to ship back one of Wiggins, Draymond or Klay to make the numbers work and a third team probably would make sense to take the max salary guy if one can be found.

I'm not quite ready to move KAT yet. Sure his play has been inconsistent but the biggest issue is the fact he is literally the only genuine big we have on this roster with legit size. He has no other real front court help outside of Naz who plays the minutes KAT doesn't. He is continually being double teamed. Also any one would think he was a white rookie European player by the lack of foul calls he gets down low.

The biggest focus of Gupta this season and upcoming off season should be finding KAT help up front. Whether you swing for the fences by trading for a guy like Myles Turner, or stand pat and look to draft the BBPA (best big player available) at the next draft, something needs to be done.

I don't think we should have to give up any potential lottery picks to land a rim protecting big. If we could get Turner by trading DLO, Beasley, Reid etc, I'd do it in a heartbeat. The value in big men has fallen so that there are consistently decent bigs available outside the lottery and then in free agency guys like Drummond were available for a minimum salary. I liked Hartenstein and he couldn't get any regular minutes until this year. The year Thibs took some unheard of guy from Creighton (Patton), Jarett Allen and John Collins were available. Mitchell Robinson was a second rounder. Gobert, Capela and Jokic were late first and second rounders that the Wolves could have drafted. Bam was picked at 14th. Shotblockers Robert Williams, Claxon and Gafford were later picks. Zubac and Richuan Holmes were second rounders. Isaiah Stewart was taken outside lottery. The Wolves need to keep their picks and nail them. The majority of the top defensive bigs were taken with picks 14 or later. Also, Giannis and Draymond were all late picks too and Christian Wood was undrafted.

Then there's a guy like Chris Boucher in Toronto who is a very good shot blocker, but is behind Achiuwa and Khem Birch so he's getting little minutes. Maybe Wolves could pick him up cheaply.
