What a great win. Being a zero expectations Wolves fan is liberating. I really hope this is a trend for Edwards. Theres been some marginal improvement up till tonight. He was excellent. Everyone has moments. Great game.

Agree that it was a great team win.

- Edwards obviously was the most exciting to watch simply because he was really in a bad hole for a number of games and just recently started crawling out of it. He put it all together tonight.

- I thought DLO was awful for a good portion of the night, but then he started making some dagger 3's that helped Minnesota pull away.

- Beasley continues to show that he is the most consistent and reliable player on the team so far this season. He's 24 and this is his first season as a full-time starter. There is still a bit of upside left with him.

- We got the full Jarred Vanderbilt experience once again. He made some highlight hustle plays and worked the glass pretty well, but then made some stupid errors that led to 3 turnovers, despite hardly ever having to handle the ball much.

- Nowell ended up with a meh game, but I am 95% positive his 3-ball will eventually come around if he gets enough run.

- Allen and Drummond is one hell of a Center pairing for Cleveland. Between those two and Love being on the roster, something has to give? Seems like a lot of money and talent tied up in basically one position since Love is more like a Center these days.

- Great win. We needed that big time.

Edwards top end is really fucking good. We've been burned so much in the past as soon as we see inconsistency we figure its more of the same. But he's the youngest starter ever on the team and will be the youngest to ever be getting these kind of minutes in a pandemic season. He had a historically awful start in shooting percentage but his highs are as high as anything Ive ever seen on this team apart from KG or KAT for a player this early. Thats not a prediction of consistency but hes got some man's tools moving forward.

A few thoughts from tonight's game:

1. Beasley continues to be our best player (other that presumably KAT if KAT were playing)

2. Edwards had a terrific game. This was yet another sign of what he can be. He's the complete package of strength, athleticism, skill and basketball IQ. It wasn't just the 20 points; it was the way he scored (getting to the rim and finishing and his efficiency). He also rebounded and once again showed his considerable potential as a passer. I see him eventually becoming a lead guard.

3. Nowell knows how to play - on both ends. I loved the pick last year and I've been calling for the Wolves to give him consistent rotation minutes. We're beginning to see what he can do. Rosas should be working the phones to find potential suitors for Okogie or Culver.

4. McDaniels is raw, but his length and pogo-stick hops are impressive. He has a huge upside.

5. This team simply has no margin for error because of its lack of size. Russell and Beasley both shot 50% from behind the arc. That's not going to happen very often. I know I'm beating a dead horse, but it's inexcusable that this team is so lacking in size. Sorry Gersson, that's true even with KAT in the lineup. And no, Juancho's not the answer.

6. The Cavs are loaded with bigs - Drummond, Allen, Nance, and Love. Is there any package the Wolves could offer (not including KAT, Beasley or Edwards) that might land one of those four? I can't imagine any realistic offer that would land Drummond. Maybe there's a chance to land Allen, but I doubt it. But I suspect there's a realistic offer that could land Nance or Love. Thoughts?

We got out rebounded 55 - 34 and still won. That's incredible!

Remarkable for sure. I commented on this somewhere in the thread. Minnesota got killed on the glass, but won the turnover battle forcing 19 to their eight. Those extra possessions proved crucial tonight, but I don't think that's a sustainable recipe for success over the long-term. We absolutely need some size.

It will be interesting to see the wolves rotation once Hernangomez and Kat get back.

Will Culver get minutes, is Nowell out of the rotation, does Ant continue to start, what does our PF/C rotation Iook like with kat/naz/davis/vandy/McDaniels/Hernangomez. Is jmac just done.

Will be a really interesting in a week.

Anthony Edwards on the D'Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley and Edwards three-man backcourt:

"They can't help off of DLo and Bease because they can shoot. And they can't help off of me because I can shoot -- *starts laughing* -- every now and again."

I love when this kid talks
