This was a fun and ugly game. Both teams had some terrible turnovers at times where they just threw it to nobody.

I get the tank but as fans I think pretty much everyone is down right now. Imagine the players and coaches etc. we aren't gonna lose them all this was a fun one to finish out against a deep team that's made crazy comebacks and looked poised to do it again. The Wolves held them off and got the win. It was good to see. If the had lost...well that wasn't horrible either. It felt weird to be sort of in a win win situation. Lol

Man D Rose is fun to watch. I'll enjoy watching him this year and the next couple years if he comes back. Isn't there some sort of idea of jobnof watching and playing the game? I'm glad he hasn't gone anywhere.

Luol Deng...I don't know what the stats are but the guy can absolutely still play and has beeen able to be much more than functional even as a SF. Weirdly I'm almost worried he is proving himself out of the vet min. I hope not and I hope he comes back.

Bayless probably isn't healthy and he didn't look good. Canaan was the better player.

Teague was pretty good.

Lou Williams is just lethal.

I've been thinking about saying this for a while but I told LST I thought for sure Okogie was gonna be better than Shamet. I feel MUCH less confident about that now. That guy can play. Again this board liked him including myself I just thought based on what I read he would go later. Philly made a good pick and it will be interesting to see what he becomes with the Clippers.

What?

Just because Okogie is shooting 36% from the field... and Shamet is shooting 41%... on three pointers?

The Clippers traded Tobias Harris, their best player, and they weren't playing with a set offense with new players, so it's tough for me to completely give credit for a win vs a team that's now an unknown when it comes to how good they'll be prior to next FA as they try to clear cap space for free agents.

KAT definitely needs to whine less, he just does. Kevin Love who?

I also don't like that in the 4th quarter we're giving up wide open 3's at the top of the key after the Clippers have shared the ball all around in their halfcourt set simply because 1-2 Wolves didn't make it a priority to hustle back to the defensive end. That's what loser teams do.

This team's soft-tank backfired last night, but good to see them putting forth decent efforts under Ryan, and good to see this team without Wiggins, to get a more honest view of his impact on the team. :P

The Okogie/Shamet debate is far from over, Monster. Yes, I loved Shamet coming out of college, and he has shot the basketball impressively so far. But I was concerned about his defensive potential because of his lack of speed and athleticism, and his defense has been awful the couple times I have watched him this season. They're both flawed players...Okogie can't shoot and Shamet can't stop anyone. So far you'd have to say that Shamet has clearly had the most success (because Okogie has his issues on defense too), but I would guess that Josh has a better chance of overcoming his deficiency than Landry...let's hope you end up right on this one!

Let's be honest, Thibs blew this rebuild and it didn't take him very long to do it. We need to finally find a GM who has a plan and the stones to execute the plan the right way. If it were me, I'd focus on keeping KAT happy while doing everything possible to create cap space. KAT can be part of another rebuild, but it's really our last chance with him. Andrew's contract is a problem, but the key is we don't make another mistake on a contract while were building. Making the playoffs should be the last thing on our agenda. We simply aren't good enough to do anything if and when we get there. I'm not really in to tanking either, but the fact is the only guys on our team we should / need to keep are KAT, Wig, Roco, Saric, Tyus. Everyone else is free to leave when their deal is up and should be hurried out the door if possible. Yes, that includes Okogie.

Get a competent front office, consistently make good draft picks, clear cap space as quick as possible, and avoid mistakes on long term contracts. If we can do that, we can be a contender in 3-4 years.

If Davis wasn't happy being a 2nd round playoff team how is KAT going to be happy with more losing? The turnaround has to be drastic and focused on improving to the point of immediately being a playoff team or KAT's going to get a wandering eye and be gone too. The key to me is going to be someone who is willing to take good risk but isn't panicked. There's very few GMs out there that might fit that bill and I don't expect Taylor to hire one.

Doper, thankfully we have the luxury of time with KAT. He may have a wandering eye but there is literally nothing he can do for a few years.

Oh yeah I just wanted to admit that which can add to the conversation as well. Teague seems to LOVE going at rookies and he went at Shamet in this game. I haven't seen Shamet play enough to really get a sense of him especially on that end but he certainly has looked like he belongs. I think Okogie does too but like ypu said a completely different reason.

Players can get out from a current team whenever they choose to. Let's not act like an All-NBA player has no control in where he plays. We've seen too many examples of this recently.

Listened to Chris Bosh on Bill Simmons podcast today.

It's gonna get "worse" before it gets better.

Granted, it's better for the NBA business... but it sucks for fans. To be fair, nobody gives a shit about the fans. It's one of the most obvious things I've learned about sports in my (xx) years.

Finally watched the replay of this game.....Jesus Christ Lou Williams put on an absolute show. That guy is the walking definition of "professional scorer". He's been on a tear since turning 30 a couple years ago. Crazy.

So you're saying there is still a chance?
