Waaaaay too early for that. But not a great start for the rookie.

Maybe. It sucked that he didn't get to feast on Summer League competition and get his confidence up, but I think all the new guys are trying to figure how they fit on our team. While it would have been fun to see him come out gangbusters like D Mitchell, D Mitchell had summer league and a longer preseason to find his way.

The Minnesota Timberwolves sit atop the NBA as the only 3-0 team in the league, just as everyone expected

I just don't know enough about the coaches for the G league to think wether he would be better off there or taking lumps and learning the hard way. I guess it can be argued either way which is better. It's just a thought because he has looked quite a bit lost.

Lets end the season now and just declare ourselves champs. KAT is MVP, Saunders is coach of the year, and Wiggs is most improved.

Heh, figures my least two favorite players on the team essentially won us the game.
- HItting 3s and preventing 3s...still is a major weakness for this team, but at least we are closing the volume gap. May be some day we can find someone other than a PF or C that can make 3's consistently.
- Spo might be a top 2 or 3 coach. I mean, I didn't know half the damn players on the team, yet they are playing hard, knocking down shots, and simply ran out of gas on the 2nd night of a B-to-B.
- Would love to imagine a best-case scenario of Okogie and Culver as our future starting back court, but damn, hard to see that when outside shooting is such a problem for these guys.
- Graham was not good tonight.
- Vonleh with another solid game off the bench. Really liking the solid play he's giving us. Nothing sexy, just fundamentally sound positioning and playing his role well.
- KAT came back down to earth after a great start.
- I never would have had us at 3-0. Granted, we have not played nearly the level of talent we'll see most nights against Western Conference opponents, but to start with 3 wins in the bank is pretty damn good no matter who we played.

Andrew Wiggins on getting benched by Ryan Saunders: "I wasn't playing like myself, I made a lot of dumb decisions, and we told each other to keep me accountable. If I do something wrong, make me pay for it. He did that. I feel like that woke me up, too. I've got to be better."

The more things change the more they stay the same. After years of success, Wolves fans are getting bored with the regular season and just want the playoffs to begin. Similarly, Saunders is thinking about instituting a load management program so Towns is rested for the postseason.

For as tough of a talker Thibs was, I always thought he was a bit of a wussy when it came to benching either Wigs or KAT for dumb or lazy plays. He'd bark and yelp, but never actually bite. Good to see Mr. Player Friendly Ryan was able to do this with Wiggins and perhaps it helped spur him in the 4th.

It was great to see just how much Wiggins teammates want him to succeed. He's clearly a likeable guy. Its just insane to see someone with such highs and lows in one game. That 3rd 3 was a shot that a few people in the league can take and make. The other 6 he missed looked like my shot. He continues to be a mystery.
