I watching the 2nd half right now. Haven't read the thread, so someone may have commented on Jim Peterson's commentary tonight. He was very critical and honest with his assessments/analysis tonight. Very critical of Teague, Bazz, and Wig tonight. In the 1st half he was praising the Raps and Casey for their willingness to change philosophy with playing faster, less ISO, shooting more 3's and playing smaller. It almost felt like he was being critical of the wolves while saying this. I thought he was spot on. Wondering if anyone else noticed this.

It's nice to know we can beat a good team without Jimmy. I think that's an important step for this team to take. I get the dissapointment in Wiggins but tonight shows you the difference between being the first option on the court and being the 3rd and sometimes 4th option out there. It's just different playing those roles and he's definitely improved in his new role as the season has gone on so we'll see where he's at come playoff time. Having a guy who can step up when your best player goes down and win you a game is a big deal.

Yeah I noticed those comments. He was for sure pretty strong on some points about players in this game for sure and I generally agreed with him.

Huge game, big boost for this team knowing they can beat a contender without their best player. We're definitely in agreement there.
And I can see where you're going with the argument that Wiggins is perhaps better in a featured role, but I'd counter that in a lesser role with less defensive focus he should be more efficient albeit with less volume. That, to this point, hasn't been the case at all.
Thibs likely envisioned -- fantasized about -- having two 6'8 wings overwhelming the opposition with their ability to go downhill and attack in the paint. It's quite the dream. If Andrew would consistently attack, and we got even just 75% of the player that showed up tonight, the Wolves would be on a completely different level.

I feel like the wolves have been the beneficiary of quite a few calls. Wigs lack of hands have been on full display this 2nd half. Yikes

It's huge for him to continue to go up strong to the hoop like he did tonight. He is shooting how FTs a little better these last couple of weeks so hopefully he gets confidence and just attacks the rack like he did tonight.

Ya he didn't play as well in the 2nd half but he made clutch plays including the 3. A big pass to taj where it started great ball movement. And 2 big boy rebounds to seal it. First time I think all year I think wiggins looked gassed. (1st time in a long time he had to carry the duties on both ends)

Jim Pete "you gotta stay out of pick n roll action with him, they are gonna continue to blitz the action and Andrew can't handle it". Well said Jim Pete. Wow, his handle is so so below average for a wing in this league.

Man you are being extra negative when andrew was great tonight.

His second half has been terrible besides the clutch 3. But was more continuing with my observation of Pete's candidness tonight.
