Wiggins would be wise to leave those one dribble pull-up jumpers from 18-feet out of his tool bag. They're too easy to guard; giving the defense a play off. Thought we wasted a couple crucial possessions with him late.

The good news is we are tied for fourth with two other teams in the lottery derby. Can we get a Rudy Gobert clone in the draft? A defensive anchor in the middle is our biggest need.

I don't think Rudy Gobert exists in this draft. The top of the draft is loaded with point guards of all things.
I still think Thibs should have KAT guard Centers instead of PFs. He is a better rebounder and has a stronger base than Gorgui. We need him closer to the rim, foul trouble be damned.

Speaking of KAT....We wasted an epic performance from him tonight. What a shame.

I'll continue to say it even though our current options are limited. Gorgui Dieng's best role is as the first big off the bench.

Knicks bench 43 points Wilves bench 5. Dunn is a bust, aldrich sucks, Rush doesnt play. Thibs not off to a great start as POBO

Also, our bench needs a complete makeover. Nemenja Bjelica and Tyus Jones are inconsistent, but at times they've been productive. Kris Dunn, Shabazz Muhammad, Cole Aldrich -- these guys are not helping us on a consistent basis and it's absolutely a factor in why we've been losing games.

Heh, going into every damn new season we talk about our depth, yet it NEVER comes to fruition. I actually think defensively the bench hasn't been half-bad. They just really struggle to produce offensively.

KAT 15 of 19 on two point shots and 0 and 3 from the three. KAT needs to make his living in the paint and not bother with threes when the other team has no one to guard him in the paint like tonight.

The most potent scoring option has been Nemenja Bjelica and that's really asking too much of him. He's a good glue guy -- fourth or fifth option that can create for others -- but he shouldn't have to be our scoring punch for the second unit like he's been. That's an issue that I don't foresee going away for a while.
Also, I've been off the Shabazz Muhammad wagon for a while now. I think I may have actually posted last season multiple times that I really hate watching him play basketball and I hope that we don't re-sign him when his rookie deal is up. Way too many holes in his game and his negatives far outweigh the inconsistent positives. His game hasn't evolved; it's regressed. Shabazz who?
Lastly, there's Cole "Six Teams in Seven Seasons" Aldrich, as I like to call him. The Hometown Disappointment Returns would be the name of his biographical movie. There were a handful of posters on this forum that I remember vouched for that signing, and while it wasn't a killer by any means, it's essentially still wasted cap space. You get what you pay for more times than not in the NBA. We went bargain shopping and wound up with one of the Weasley's hand-me-downs. That's a Harry Potter reference for those of you who are a bit older and didn't understand where I went with that. I could argue that Adreian Payne's been a bigger difference-maker than him this season and we all know where I stand with Payne.
