Suns are apparently out of the running for Milsap.
I will be very surprised if we don't get him...

What a starting lineup! Wolves fans are going to have to change their faces!

I read just the money was too rich for the Suns. Interesting. Millsap is a good player but I'm only interested depending on the price. I'd bet Denver is much more desperate and will offer more money that we will. It's not a bad place to land for Millsap. Jokic is a legit talent and Gary Harris and Murry is a possible nice backcourt and Denver has all kinds of other players/assets. If the Wolves are still in it my guess is that it's because he is intruiged in playing for a good team but it would have to be less money.
Edit: Sounds like the Wolves may be out too. Wolfson questions if they were ever in. Im sort of relieved probably in the same way Lip was relieved about not signing Redick.

Getting excited for the possibility of Millsap, I was watching some highlights and came across this playoff game from 2016, when Teague was running the point. There's a cringe-inducing moment starting at 5:45, but Jimmy Butler will have the ball in his hands at that point of the game.

Watching these Millsap videos, I'm really impressed with how strong and athletic he is (both of which we need), but I'm not sure I like how iso-heavy our best players would tend to be if we signed Millsap, regardless of the price. Whatever we do, we need glue guys who pass, shoot, and move without the ball well (guys like Ingles).

Darren Wolfson @DWolfsonKSTP

Not convinced yet that they were ever really in on him. Many league people say they haven't heard of a MN meeting. #Twolves
David Aldridge @daldridgetnt
Hearing MIN also may be out of Millsap talks, clearing the way for possible resolution w/Denver, meeting w/him tonight. Would be great fit.

Hoping Thibs now tests the restricted FA market for Ingles and Jamychael Green before anything else now that Milsap seems likely out. If we get our restricted offers matched then I'd like to see us do some bench shopping with the promise of decent cash, a lot of minutes and a chance to win.

I'd take Faried off Denver's hands for cap space. A high energy rebounder would be great even if it's not perfect in our starting 5.

It's an interesting though. That would take almost all our space we have left. He is a nice enough player I think I would rather have a little more money to buy up what is left with players that might cost less that what he is getting and provide about the same impact. It's something that could be explored later. The other issue about him is he has some back problems if I remember right from previous discussions.

I think we didn't mind spending our remaining cap on Milsap because he is a great player. I don't see how spending it on Faried is wise at all. Time to get some back up Wings!
