The other guys said he thought it made a lot of sense because they needed a guy Teague is younger and has been very durable than any of the other guys and likely will cost less. He also said it's a 3 year deal and that is a big factor because other guys may have wanted a 4 year or longer deal. He also said having a decent chunk of cap space over another option would allow the to get another player or players. He seemed to convince he other guy that it made sense. He also said that if Teague opted out that they do have Tyus who could develop into a quality player. :) both agreed that Teague was unlikely to be a bad contract which probably means it's a win for the Wolves. They thought the Rubio deal made sense and liked the pick was likely coming over now with George going to OKC.

They talked about the pacers dealing Paul George and...they said its pretty easy at this point to say Vlade did better dealif Cousins than Pritchard did for George. Vlade love!!! A few minutes later they called them the "Sacramento leverages" which was pretty hilarious.

I listened to it to last night. What did you think about them bringing up trading belly? They also said what I said yesterday they could trade that first and Aldrich away to make more cap space.

Thibs has said he is a key piece for us this year and is cheap. I'd think if they dealt him they would have to get an asset back. Belly could become more expensive soon though. They also mentioned they could stretch Aldrich and while that doesn't sound good I would rather do that than just dump Belly and his 4 million for nothing.

I just watched most of the first quarter of a Pacers Wizards game from this year. People talk about Rubio's disruptive defense but maybe Teague has his own abilities there. In the first 8 minutes this is what he did.

1st Wizard possession he comes off Wall to easily pick Morris pocket who was looking to post up.

A few minutes later Wall comes down with the ball looks to attack and Teague gets his hand on the ball and wall loses it for a turnover.

Wall has the ball in transition and Teague is trailing him a couple step behind (looking kinda lazy) then as wall looks to make a move on the first defender Teague catches up to him and knocks the ball free for another turnover.

I'm not suggesting Teague is a super awesome defender but I wonder if this guy is someone that's being underrated on that end by a lot of people here and otherwise. It will be interesting to see him play with the Wolves. In the 2 games I have seen he excels at finding good times to come off his guy and help and get back. His speed and quickness helps him there plus he has that 6'7" wingspan which helps his length. Will his size hurt him when he gets switched onto another player? Sure but a lot of PGs aren't going to be able to guard players in those matchups.
