I've said that a few times this season, but he was tonight!
I will maintain that since he arrived 3 years ago, he's been our best clutch performer.
LaVine's right there with him. Big shots from everybody tonight. Wig, LaVine, Rubio, Dieng, etc.
Agreed. It's a toss up for me between Wiggins and Lavine. I love how LaVine has a knack for making the shots to keep us in it.
Zach is starting to show clutch tendencies no doubt. But Wig has had a lot more moments over the last 2+ years.
I disagree, but Wiggins is your boy and LaVine's turned into one of my favorites. They were both big time when it counted tonight and man, we needed it BAD.

I'm not sure Wiggins has had more of an impact on wins since they came in. You may see it that way due to the forced approach Wiggins has received. I was one of the few who thought Zach had the higher chance to reach the ceiling, and I still feel that way. Zach generally gets his shots within the offense, where as Wiggins forces the issue, and some of that is due to the staff trying to make him what he is not. I'd switch their roles and bet on seeing better output. Towns #1, LaVine #2, and Wiggins #3 (also our best perimeter defender) is what I envision for success because Wiggins can get his but his creation is nearly Bazz level. Tunnel vision. And his personality is a suitor for that third tier role.
Zach has better handles, vision, form on his shot, etc. He should be initiating more offense and allowing Wiggins to wreak havoc on open long twos, threes, and cuts. I see lo v term success that way.

Good post. It's everything I've said on here in one way or another during different discussions, but organized into one well-worded thought. Completely agree.
That's the hierarchy that I think we need to get to. Good luck arguing this with other posters here, though. Wiggins, like Rubio, is the centerpiece for a lot of topics and almost all of them are passionately disagreed upon.

1 thing overlooked in this argument is will lavine be as good when defended by the opponent best wing defender? So far in his career, zach has been defended by bench players, pg's and have played with wig where wig gets the best wing defender.
Im a big lavine fan as well and i think he and wig compliment each other. But I still believe wiggins is going to be the better of the 2 and i would live to have both on the team til they retire.
Nice try guys. This is nothing like the Rubio debate, we are not working against the evidence so far here. These stats are on Lavine taking more shots than Wiggins too. Any notion that Zach gets his through the offense in clutch situations is crazy. If anything he becomes a chucker in these situations and for the most part makes god awful decisions.
