His main problem tonight was that he tried to do too much. He was obviously trying to prove himself and, as a result, he didn't play within himself. Watching him closely, it looked like he still has some game left. He made a couple nice passes and moved well without the ball. He's not as explosive as he used to be, but he has nice size and still looks pretty athletic and quick. He's always been a very good ballhandler and that's a skill that should still be there in spite of his five surgeries.
I still don't like the signing given our team's needs and the fact that other teams signed the likes of Brewer, Belinelli, and Ilyasova or traded scraps for a guy like Luke Babbit (why couldn't we trade Bazz for him?). But there's enough there in Rose's game, coupled with his veteran big game experience, to make me believe that he could end up winning a game for us down the stretch. We had a roster spot and Thibs either couldn't or didn't want to sign anyone else to fill it. So in the end, I'd rather have Rose fill that slot than have it remain open as we move into the playoffs.

Kat and wiggins with the others playing a great glue game. Also having our starters all play almost 40 minutes which meant fewer minutes for the bums.

At least Crawford scored 12 points. Other than a couple possessions his defense was pretty bad though it made what Wiggins and Belly were doing look even more impressive.

Yes, Crawford's defense was horrible tonight as was his 3-point shooting. But I guess we shouldn't be surprised. He's always been a poor defender and has never been a particularly good 3-point shooter. I've been harping all season on Thibs' failure to have some two-way wing depth. And here we are relying on Crawford as our sole rotation wing off the bench. We could really use Belinelli, Corey Brewer, CJ Miles or, better yet, Bazemore right now.

Good breakdown of Rose Lip it's exactly how I feel about his game. One thing I noticed about Rose in watching some highlights of his it seems he is actually makes some cuts to get easy looks. He basically did that to get his one bucket. I agree he was trying to do too much. I thought he started out solid except that time early he got the pass and went down so assume it was a slick floor so thatvwas kinda bad luck. He had a nice drive and kick to someone and one of those drives there is no way he wasn't fouled.
