Better than cold, cold, cold, hot, cold, cold, cold, hot, cold, cold, cold, hot!

Yeah, we have reverted back to the 13-14 season where we win our fair share of blowouts and all the losses are really close, thus our average margin of victory looks like we are a much better team than our record reflects.

It was in reference to Wiggins. And hot and cold are stretches, not just single games.

Gotcha. When he aggressively attacks offensively rather than settling for contested long 2's, he's at his best. Unlike James Harden and others, he draws fouls legitimately, without having to rely on tricks and shenanigans (I realize Harden is a great player regardless, but I just don't like the guy).

He also made some excellent passes last night - and not just obvious ones to wide open people. Thib's "Jimmy Butler Part II" strategy is starting to pay off perhaps. Giannis abused him on the other end of the floor, but I'm not sure what more Wiggins could have done. Those were some tough shots by one of the emerging superstars in the league.

Until last night, this wasn't true. Actually, you could argue the opposite.

11/26/2014: 14 pts (4-14 FG, 4-8 FT), 8 reb, 4 ast

01/02/2016: 19 pts (7-17 FG, 5-9 FT), 6 reb

03/04/2016: 10 pts (3-7 FG, 3-4 FT), 2 reb, 2 ast

31 pts (10-18 FG, 11-13 FT), 5 reb, 6 ast is a line I hope we see a lot more often from Wiggins. Arguably the best performance of his young career.

I'll chime in here since so am on vacation and won't be able to watch this game anytime soon. Well...we outscored them. Both teams seemed to have the offenses clicking. The differences i see in the box score were we beat them by a huge margin from the 3 point line and we didn't put them on the FT line much. Against a long athletic team the Wolves bested them in Rebounds blocks steals and had fewer turnovers. I'd like to see better defensive FG% but they did hold a team below 100 points so that's significant right? Obviously you take a win any way you can get it.

I still have hope Bazz can be the 6th man type for this team that was talked about in this thread. I see he nailed 4-5 from 3 in this game. I see no reason he shouldn't be able to hit corner 3's at a plenty acceptable clip. He just has to do it. Because he is a RFA he might come at a palatable price to return to the team. If he starts being productive offensively it's going to help this team this year. There are a lot of games to go yet it's a big season for him to show what he is...or isn't.

I was at the game last night, but won't do a full game report because I had to leave at half time (son-in-law's hot band was playing early at the Turf Club). A few first half observations though.

The crowd...wow! First of all, it was the biggest crowd I have seen since the KG return night...at least 3/4 of the upper deck was full. And they were into it...great electric atmosphere. I'm only being somewhat facetious when I make this next statement. Because the crowd was so loud, I couldn't hear Thibs for the first time this year, and I'm certain the Wolves on the court couldn't hear him either...I never once saw a player glancing over his shoulder warily at Thibs with the ball in play.

And that leads to my next point. This is the loosest I have seen this team at home all year. Defense was a struggle again (exasperating at times), but the offense shared the ball in a manner we only see usually from our opponents. So much fun to see the ball move around like that, and the result was some wide open threes that NBA players will make if given the chance...13 for 25 on threes is terrific bet doesn't surprise me with this team if we swing the ball like last night. This team can shoot with the best of them when open. I didn't see the second half, so I can't speak to Cool's point in the thread that the Wig-initiated offense was very good in the 4th, but it seemed like every basket in the first half was assisted...so unusual for this sticky-fingered hero-ball favoring team. As I check out the box score, I see a very good stat...the Wolves had 30 assists on their 43 made baskets! Wow!

We won, so I'm not going to complain too much about Thibs' rotations, but the box score tells me he didn't use his bench enough again...I'm not going to research this, but it may be true that our bench has played fewer minutes than our opponent in every game this year. And the bench was playing really well. I thought Dunn looked like a PG tonight and made things easy for his teammates like Ricky does. And of course Bazz and Belly made their wide-open threes...I think we have to admit that this game is much closer if they don't.

My final point...don't miss the opportunity to see Antepokounpo whenever he is on TV (since they won't come here again this year. He is truly a special player. He handles the ball like it's on a string and is almost unstoppable when he decides to drive to the basket. As others have said, Wig showed great effort most of the game and actually did a decent job on the Freak...I think he got juiced up for the challenge. I question how they use the Freak because he seems to lack vision when playing the point...missed the opportunity to get the ball to wide open teammates countless times in the first half. Maybe he gets more comfortable with this as he continues to paly the point, but if he doesn't, they need to find a real PG and put Giannis at SF.

Very entertaining game, and fodder for the optimists here...very good offensive performance.

Sure the Bucks shot a high%... but they had very few 2nd chance points and more than their fair share of turnovers, which many times led to easy fast break points. Plus the Wolves ran them off the 3 point line enough to make a difference. I am not going to bitch about a win, especially a win that was so much fun to watch. It really did seem like the Wolves wanted this win, they played loose, you could see the players were very happy for each other on dunks, made 3's and good shots taken. The passing in the 1st half was fun to watch. The ball moved quickly and smartly. And everyone got "theirs". The 2nd half was more like what we normally...2-man game, but more drives to cup with aggression, but without the head down plow technique employed by Bazz so many times this year.
