(beating Sacramento on Friday is what really matters though).
I no longer think it is a long shot they are 2.5 games out with 50+ games to go. The bottom of the west is down this year and who is more talented on paper than the wolves maybe Portland

When the teams above you are 5 games under .500 at this point in the season...heck so think every team in the Western conference still has a shot. The only problem is there are 8 teams all going to be fighting for that spot that's what makes it tougher but I don't think it's such a long shot anymore espcially if this team has turned the corner. Of course I thought that they still had a chance a few games ago when they weren't playing good basketball for longer periods of time yet.

Right, that's why I think it's still a long shot - because freakin' everyone not in the top 7 are fighting for one spot. And we haven't been hit by the injury bug yet, which makes me nervous.
I guess I'm glad there is at least still hope, but I think a lot has to go right for us and a lot has to go wrong for others in order for it to happen. It's a tall order.
Make that 3 games back with the Kings losing tonight.
Could this be the year the west has a team make it with a losing record? Sure is looking that way.
Absolutely. No western conference team is out of the playoffs right now and we are not that far from the half way point. That could change quickly though it just takes 1 team to get hot and another team to go on a big losing streak. Wolves fans may want to quit planning with such certainly on having a first round pick (in the lottery) in the next draft.

Edit: changed to lottery pick oops.
The way we have been playing combined with out youth and lack of a bench still leads me to believe we fall in the 6-14 range for the draft. We have talent, a good coach, and still tons to learn this year

That describes a few of the teams trying to get that spot. I think it's going to be a little more clarity over the next 10-15 games who is in (or more in) and who is out. I expect the Wolves to still at least be in the middle.
Ugh, this is why losing that home game to Sacramento was just a killer! Then we almost clawed one away from Denver on their home floor - that would have been a big win too. Then the Sixers go into Denver a few night later and beat them!
