But playing the guy he drafted over a clearly better basketball player simply sucks in my opinion. I can't say Dunn is a bust at this point, that wouldn't be fair. But I can say he shouldn't be playing ahead of Tyus right now.

It's been a tough deal Tyus has played well when his number has been called. Dunn before his injury was showing some signs of life and his defense was crazy. In this game I thought he was backnto just looking like a guy that wasn't helping or hurting the team overall and that's a step in the right direction.

Not playing Tyus more is one criticism of Thibs I think has real merit. I'm wondering a couple things about that decision. First of all while I have faith in Thibs as a basketball mind nobody is infallible. We also don't know what Thibs and his staff are asking of Dunn. I've wondered at some point Thibs realizes what he has in Tyus but wants to up the development of Dunn and evaluate him as well. I'd rather see what Dunn has the next few months and see if he can be the PG of the future or not (not going to be able to know after just his rookie season) than just have him sit there. We will see what happens but it would seem at some points Tyus will keep getting some opportunities with Lavine out.

Also I'll say it here that I've appreciated the tone LST has taken the last few weeks with his Thibs is playing guys too many minutes theory. He is still putting it out there and calling out Thibs but it just feels different somehow.

Towns? He just doesn't try on defense, and really doesn't seem to care. Big difference between those two right now.

Yep Wiggins has been playing pretty well on that end. Offensively he has been terrific. Towns has been locked in offensively and on the boards. Defensively...he leads the team in looks from teammates saying WTF?!

Well put Monster
