From the day he got here he has been our best scorer down the stretch of games, especially when we are coming from behind. He has made big buckets for us time and time again during the last few minutes of games. Far more than anybody else. It would have been better if he attacked the basket at the end last night, but he's still the guy I trust more than anyone else to get us points in that situation.
Good points. He is the only player on our team who has shown he has an ounce of clutch in him. I still think Zach can be that cold blooded assassin from deep late, but I agree with you. The ball was in the right hands last night, and should be in Wiggins' hands going forward until someone else shows up late in 4th quarters.

I think its a very small minority that is. I'll wait at least a full season before I start to thoroughly question anything Thibs related when it comes to coaching. The front office thibs is fair game whenever a bad move happens though!

I see you were complaining in the game thread about not using timeouts during there runs but we are using them. We have had a grand total of 3 TO left with 2 minutes to go in the game with both games combined.
I think his rotations have been fine, we had one of our young guns in the game at all times besides a 2:30 stretch in the early 2nd quarter I believe.
I mean is it thibs fault that wiggins misses to late FTS same as Dunn. Is it Thibs fault KAT misses a wide open 3 late. Wiggins decides to pull up on the jumper instead of attacking. Then gorgui rushes a put back instead of gathering himself and making the bucket.
Now if we are like this 40 games in we might have a problem. But I think it is more of the in my opinion unrealistic expectations of 50 wins what would be a historical jump for a team that won 28 games last year with no injuries and no major player adds.
Just for reference:
Pop: 0-2
Stevens: 0-2
Rivers: 1-1
Carlisle: 1-1
Best coaches in their first games with their teams
Good points.
The other thing I'll add is that Sacramento won 33 games last year with a washed up head coach that clashed with its superstar, who also happened to miss nearly 20 games. Now one of the coaches many of us would have liked nearly as much as Thibs is in charge. While these guys aren't going to be contending for a title anytime soon, they are a very competitive team.
We have to remember that the Western Conference is a beast. You can't take any quarters off, as we found out in both losses.
With our youth there really are only 2 teams in the whole NBA that shouldn't steal a game from us. Both happen to be in the eastern conference. Its tough to even put the Lakers there.
Cousins is currently better than any player we have, and Gay can be very good on any given night. Like Abe stated earlier, the kings also possess the Wiley vets that can keep it cool while we do not have that this season.

Close games and your pg scores 4 and 5 pts? Do the math, if he had put forth even modest numbers they win both games. He's not the only reason for the losses but I would argue he's one of the main ones.
Yeah Ricky may not end up being a match with what Thibs wants to do. We better hope Dunn can surpass Ricky at some point. Ideally the Wolves can keep them both for the forseeable future. People shouldn't be resistant to having two good point guards even though some seem to act that way.
I am not too interested in getting into Thibs this early and feel the need to remind everyone about '04 when our 58 win team started 9-8. There was a ton of panic then too.

...and don't forget we started 8-8 last year, as I believe someone mentioned earlier, only to go into a deep funk before finally playing better ball at the end of the year. We were talking playoffs after that start!
There is good reason to be disappointed that we didn't come away with at least one win on this mini-road trip. These guys can get a couple back in the division by winning their next two home games against Memphis and Denver.

Yeah but his DRPM though.
If the verdict is out on Rubio, like a few here say, then where is the return? Should we dump him for less team value, because he's obviously not worth starter value? Bench him for a rookie or a 2nd year pg who is a sieve on defense? Where will the blame fall then because nothing seems to get added about any other facet of the team. Its just "Ricky Sucks at scoring!"

Well, if Rubio is out for a few weeks it would be a good litmus test to see if he adds value to the team on both ends on the floor. I'm kinda excited to see how it goes.

Silver lining, isn't it?
Maybe. Then again, if they go 4 - 12... we have the answer.
