I had the Curry flu once, was on the toilet for days.

They put up 129 points and didn't break a sweat. They had 75 in the first half, they coasted in the second half until the Wolves bench forced them to wake up again. The vast majority of the Wolves second half run occurred with Curry on the bench, so even if you assume Rubio would have slowed Curry slightly, he would have just played more and the outcome wasn't going to change.
I'm not bashing the young pups, GS is simply the best team in the NBA, and it's not even close.
I honestly don't think it matters who guards Steph. No one is stopping him at this point. Did everyone see that crazy shot he made late in the game against Miller. He was half falling down, fading away, from like 40 feet....and he just drained it. He is a shot maker like no one else I have ever seen play the game. Everything is just so fast with him. Seems he has the ball for about a 1/4 second, and then it is gone and in the basket.

Home team playing a team on the tail end of a back-to-back... behind wire-to-wire... including 17 points in the 1st quarter... lose by 13.
"At least we didn't play like the worst team in the league!"
I wouldn't call it a moral victory so much as an inevitable outcome.
Or more of I was prepared for the worst especially with Rubio is out. Maybe it wasn't so much a moral victory as a morale boasting defeat. We saw some soul crushing performances last year even when it didn't look like the opposing teams were even trying.

It was a moral victory for me. I get what you guys are saying - GS is/was a much better team. Still - we ran with them and it's not like they blew us away or demoralized us. We showed some grit and made a good run before they closed it out like good teams do. But a year ago - I think we lose that game by 30. There seems to be a more competitive demeanor to this squad.

And that's what makes those slow mo shots on the cell phone camera of Steph hitting shots so amazing!
Curry certainly is ridiculous. Towns is obviously his kryptonite. Miller was really going at him it was fun to see actually.

I guess this would be the best way to state my opinion, the Wolves were running full open throttle just to end the game like they did while GS never really floored it. That's what makes judging a game like last night hard, I just don't see the game as being as close as the score because GS had plenty left in the tank but never felt the need to unleash it.

Oh I agree. They were in control. But my point was I expected to be blown away last night. They are the best team in the NBA. We were the worst (last year). And we were down one of our best players in Rubio. I expected it to be over by half time. We hung around. Yes - they probably could have stepped on the gas more. But we didn't quit. Guys are playing hard. And GS had to play a whole game. It's a moral victory (for me at least). Let's be honest....GS is going to blow away a lot of teams this year.
