How great would it be if we had the luxury of either getting the 1st or 2nd pick to get a upcoming big man prospect and/or have Sac town willing to give us Cousins for the 3rd or 4th pick. What a dream scenario

I hope that's how it plays out. I think it would take more than just the pick to get Cousins.

I'm not so sure it would be. His market might not be very big at all due to the issues he's had. His value might be hurt a decent amount if he's seen as a risk.

There could be a crazy insane scenario of maybe swapping picks if things play out right. Like if the Wolves got #1 with the Kings ending up about 8th. Sending other assets to the Kings, maybe DEN ships Lawson to the Kings, who knows. I think it's going to be a crazy draft night and I'll be surprised if there isn't a big trade or 2.

Lip, I guess you have to explain why Flip will never trade for Cousins again.

Cousins would be a game-changer for us, but he's not perfect either. He is still a pretty sloppy player in terms of shot selection (nearly 25% of his shots are from 16+ feet, despite being a beast inside) and he turns the ball over a lot.

If he adds Mike Malone to his staff that could sway his opinion. Never say never. Surprising things happen all the time.

Cousins makes 14 million that we don't have the ability to just absorb. It'd most likely be something like the pick, AB, Dieng and Bud/Martin for the salaries to match (this would be the trade on draft night). Otherwise it'd have to be a Wiggins scenario where we draft the player they want, sign that player to the standard rookie deal and wait the 30 days to make the trade. Then you could pull Bud/Martin out of the deal.

Cousins has serious attitude issues - which is precisely why he would be obtainable via trade. He's not liked by his teammates and doesn't listen to coaches. He's the sort of guy who can lose it at any time and flame out. In short, he's a risky proposition. Flip isn't going to give up a top three pick in this year's draft and commit $14 million per year for the next several years on a guy with Cousins' risk profile. And after his experience coaching the Wizards, Flip won't consider adding any bad attitudes to the roster.

Let's trade for Cousins, draft Hezonja, bring back Love, and hire Christian Laettner as our coach!

Voila...the All A-hole Team!
