Last 10:18 of the game, the Wolves didn't convert a field goal. Look no further as to why we lost tonight.

I know it's nitpicky, but is Rubio really the best guy to take a tech free throw later in the game with Neal on the floor? I know he's normally a decent foul shooter but I have more faith in Neal's form over Ricky's. It's probably a mute point if Martin is on the floor, but every point mattered down the stretch of this game with how poorly we shot.

You're right. Tonight has more than made up for his over -300 on the year. Who would have thought playing well would help him be a plus on the court? I never would have associated the two otherwise.
There's one

There's two.
(although even though he ranks behind 69 other point guards, he does rank ahead of Sessions, Napier and Blake)
(and he was terrific tonight)

Really fun game tonight, although stealing a win would have been better. I have enjoyed watching Martin so much this season, I was resigned to watching a terrible game. And 8 minutes in, it looked like I was right. But then LaVine and Payne entered the game, and things really turned around. From that point on, I would argue that every T-Wolf played well...yes, even Chase, who was forced to play his minutes at PF with Payne at center!
KG effect was on full display tonight, as everyone on the team played hard the entire game. In the end, Jordan and Paul were just too much for us tonight.

What? We didn't score 1 fg in the last 10 minutes?
I'm surprised we kept it that close with only 2 bench players. Nice triple double by Rubio

Can someone explain why we can't foul Jordan in the last two minutes off the ball or they call an intentional foul, but they fouled Neal off the ball and he only got two FT's?

Had we fouled Jordan in the last two minutes in that normal "hack-a-DeAndre" fashion during live ball play, Doc would be able to choose the free throw shooter instead of it being the player that got fouled. At least that's my understanding of it.

I thought they were gettting the ball and FT's.

- It was a tale of two offensive systems tonight: One that yields a lot of open 3 point shots and another that yields a lot of long 2-point shots. We just can't win exchanging contested 2's and free throws for 3's. They knocked down 8 more 3's than we did. We're playing with one arm tied behind our back.
- Either LA was setting a bunch of illegal screens or our guys simply have to work harder to get over/through them. We got swallowed up by picks, only to be spit out like 5 minutes later. It was ridiculous how many open jumpers were given up because our guys couldn't navigate well through screens.
- Wiggins has been pretty damn good of late, but man, he takes a lot of tough-ass shots. He of all people would benefit from more 3's. Too many tough mid-range and long 2's. I'd much rather see him make 35% of his 3's than 35% of his mid-range shots!
- LaVine with a very impressive first half stint. Martin's absence also allowed him to play off the ball for a fair bit. He is much better in that situation.
Well, we've been through the gauntlet over the past 12 games. Only two of those games against teams with losing records and five of those games against the league's top four teams: Houston, Memphis twice, Atlanta, and Golden State.
Hopefully we can nab a W on Wednesday. Seems to be a good day for us.....

Hack a DJ is intentional which is two and the ball. The foul on Neal wasn't intentional. To be honest it should be deemed intentional (2 + Ball) the whole game so teams can't use that tactic because it is terrible to watch and screeches the game to a halt.
