Re: Pek is shut down for the season
A little more clarity about Pek's surgery in Zgoda's article this morning. There's a range of procedures the surgeon will do depending on what he finds in there. Best case is he just clears out the damaged tissue and reattaches the tendon. But in rare cases, the tissue is so damaged that the tendon needs to be replaced...kind of like Tommy John surgery. The surgeon also says there is the potential for this kind of injury to be career-ending. In any event, it will likely be a year before Pek could potentially be completely healthy, so it doesn't sound to me like he will be playing next year. Not good news at all.

I hope we have that contract insured. It would be a bad break that is for sure.

Thanks for posting that info. Man that sounds even worse than I thought and I wasn't feeling optimistic.

Where's the dislike button?
Re: Pek is shut down for the season
wow that sucks about Pek, but damn what have they been doing? I mean if it's the same exact thing for 2 years.. Well I hope it fixes the problem so he's able to get back to the top of his game.
As far as starters having to play more than 20 minutes.. Most of these guys play 20-30, but their C position is on the low end. Either way I'd like to see the Wolves bring down some guys' minutes a bit. Also KG doesn't NEED to start, he can come off the bench and finish games like Manu (as long as we end up with someone being able to start at PF). http://espn.go.com/nba/team/stats/_/name/sa/san-antonio-spurs
