I would figure out how much it would take to get Lin and see if we can land him and then select a second round PG. I wonder if the Lakers have much interest in Rubio. I wouldn't mind a Rubio for Randle and Clarkson trade.

Lakers could then trade 2nd for Cousins and sing Love as a FA. Roll out there with Rubio, Kobe, Young, Love, and Cousins next year.

We could roll out with Clarkson, LaVine, Wiggins, Randle, and Towns (backups of Lin, Martin, Shabazz, KG, Dieng)

Lin would be fine with me for a backup but to be honest how much better is Lin than Vasquez? Lin turns 27 in August so he is 2 years younger than Vasquez so I don't know about the upside there. Trading Bennett for Vasquez clears up the glut at PF and ads a vet backup at PG which is a need.

I gotta say that the phrase "glut at PF" (or bigs) makes me a little nervous. With Pek's minutes a complete unknown and KG's minutes/games limited, do we really have a glut of bigs? You would have to assume there will be plenty of games where neither KG nor Pek can play. So can we just assume that nothing will go wrong with our remaining four bigs (Towns, Dieng, Payne and Bjelica)? And while I seem to like Payne more than most, even I will not guarantee he'll give us quality minutes next year.

It seems to me if we move Bennett, we really need to add another big for depth. Maybe that's Jordan Hamilton? But it sure seems like another body is needed. Our lack of PG depth and bigs last year was a killer!

60cent, Great post. I agree with you. I think we should have at least 7 bigs and 3 pg's on roster.

Wings would be Wiggins, Lavine, Shabazz, Martin, and Bud

I would rather have Humnel than Bennett for depth. Move Bennett and maybe we have room for a 2nd round PF type. I hope someone asks Flip about Bennett when Flip makes his next appearance on a radio show.

I would rather have AB then Payne at this point, but seriously I would be doing my Paul Majers happy dance if they both were not Wolves at the start of next year.

I do agree with Tim that there is some worry about the bigman depth but Bennett and his injury woes and poor play would be part of the problem as much as a possible solution.

They didn't know it a year ago when someone on this board was screaming it.

AB was so bad his rookie year, he was basically a throw-in on the Love-Wiggins trade. It's unfair he has to live up to these expectations because he didn't ask to get picked first, but as a #1 pick, he is a B.U.S.T. bust.
