If I thought he was worth it, I would go back on NBA.com to get video of his rebounds. What you'll see is a guy standing by his lonesome having the ball fall into his hands. I don't doubt that Robbie has a higher BBIQ than most on the team, but that makes him more qualified as a coach than it does a player. The just can't compete physically with other NBA players. I not sure who looked more pathetic trying to close out on shooters between him and Bud.

What confuses me even more is the report that the Cavs just made a deal for some unguaranteed guys, so Flip can open up more cap space. So why sign Hummel?

The ONLY reason the Cavs made that deal is so they have more salary to match in the trade. They are guys the Wolves would immediately waive. Thus letting the Wolves shed more salary & open up roster spots.

No one should be worrying about the Wolves signing an end of the bench guy to a vet min. The signing makes sense. I'm sure he's also a good teammate & guy to have around. Smart, knows the game, doesn't make many dumb plays, plays for the love of the game, etc.

No one should worry, but no one should be the least bit excited either

I find it funny that people basically assume Hummel has no upside. I'm not saying people should be looking for him to be anything but guys with high IQ that have a resume of shooting (tell me Hummel isn't as athletic as Steve Novak) can't be a reasonably useful player in this league. I'm not saying raise your expactations but he played one year in the NBA shouldn't he get another year (since he will be on the team anyway) before we write him off as a YMCA player? Lol

We should have signed him to multiple years at minimum on team option. That way if he starts making his shots he is not trolling for a raise.

Actually comparing rookie years Novak shot worse than Hummel.
