Not 100% sure, but I think I read somewhere where Lin only counts against the cap for 8/9 Mil. because its the average salary of the life of the contract or something funky like that. Anyone got any confirmation or correction on that?
His cap number transfers with him, so you are correct although he is still due to be paid the 15 mil.
The one reliable local sports reporter, Jon Krawczynski, reported today that the Rockets, Suns, Warriors and Bulls will make a run if they don't end up with LeBron or Melo. That's what I thought, although I hadn't contemplated the Suns as a team in the running for Love. Looks like Love is the clear second choice for contending teams pursuing LeBron or Melo.
As Wolves fans we should be following the Melo/LeBron sweepstakes with great interest. Best case realistic scenario for us would be LeBron staying in Miami and Melo staying with the Knicks. That outcome would maximize the number of suitors competing for Love, which should result in the best possible deals.
It seems highly likely LeBron will stay in Miami. I expect Melo to end up staying with the Knicks or signing with the Bulls. I think it's close to 50-50 between the two. Come in, Phil! Turn on that Zen charm and convince Melo to stay.

Lebron to Cleveland adds 1 more suitor and possibly the best value for Love with the package around Wiggins.
Per Lip's 3 options, I'd only be interested in Golden State and Chicago's offers..and even Chicago's I'd be skirmish on, but I'd settle for it just to get Love out of the West. I like Parsons but the best player we can get from another team is Klay, and that's the only way I trade him to a western team...and I definitely don't want to put him on a team which could create a new "Big 3" in the west. I'd like to avoid helping those build :)

How is Thompson better than Parsons? I'll wait for this. Stats are needed here.

Better shooter, lockdown defender, higher upside. You can go look at whatever stats you want.

Lol higher upside my ass. He's good, but he's not as good as his reputation is.
