What a Quandary
Re: What a Quandary
These comments remind me so much of the comments made about KG and how he didn't do enough to win in the playoffs and those comments even came later in his career than Love when KG was an even more rounded player than Love. The best player Love has ever played with at this point is probably Pek or Al. Nobody else has made an all-star game with Love while he was here. And that's his fault? Ok Even KG had another all-star guy a lot of years. Yes this comparison is not perfect KG was a better all-around player IMO one of the best all-around players ever. Nobody is going to say Love is as good as KG but let's be honest TALENT is a MASSIVE reason Love hasn't gotten to the playoffs you can't get around that. Love isn't the problem on this team and that's why Love isn't fully committed to this team and I can't blame him. Nobody wins championships without some really talented players next to them. Love hasn't had that. If he did things would be much different we could be complaining about how he maybe he didn't get it done in the playoffs. Lol

This is a good point but I would make another comparison to that era. Boston and Minnesota were in similar situations at that point of their franchises. One team (Boston) made big moves to acquire more talent to help their star (but not superstar) player win a championship. The other (Minnesota) made moves to fold up shop and rebuild. I would hope from that situation that the team that took the chance and swung for the fences won a championship and the team that folded became one of the worst franchises in the league for almost a decade. I don't think it is blaming Love to say that he contributes to our limitations as a team and that we need to improve. I think we need to retool and ideally make some higher risk moves to really try and make us a contender just like we needed to with KG. Fortunately now we have more flexibility to do that than we did before we traded KG. This time we need to be Boston and retool around our Paul Pierce rather than repeating the mistake of folding, trading away our star for another rebuild. Same old story. Why not us?

Did you see how often he got double and triple teamed in the 4th last year?
That was the same lineup that he lit it up with in the 1st and 3rd quarters last season. He shit his pants too. The stats don't lie. If he was triple teamed then he should have picked apart the other teams by providing layups for his teammates. Teams focus their d on the star at the end of games, that is always how it works. I expect someone who is a supposed top 3 player in the league to rise above that situation and adapt their game rather than taking worse shots and taking us out of the game.
The thing is that guys like Rubio or Brewer couldn't even MAKE layups
